A lot of women use their sidesaddles for hunting. There's a saddler in Australia who makes sidesaddles. I'm so tempted. So buzzed to watch this video. Edited to add that I mentioned to my son (who is visiting) that I've been following you for so long that you are no longer the same woman that I first started following. You have grown tremendously in your confidence. It's awesome to follow your journey and I am so proud of you.

Being older… not that long ago(my grandmother always rode sidesaddle)… it was considered inappropriate for a lady to sit astride a horse. EVERY horsey activity was done sidesaddle. In the 1980s we had several ladies that would fox hunt riding sidesaddle. I do remember showing when choosing to ride sidesaddle was an option 👍 I also remember in the showing the sandwich bag that clipped behind saddle was part of tack and judge would check… my friend always packed a pb&j 😊

I’m going to be stuffed if I ever do competitions as I can’t use long boots, My feet don’t work 😂 I use short boots because I can move more freely and actually squeeze the horse a little easier.
