Dear Master Katsaris, your playing is an inspiration for young pianists; (i,m 13, studying piano since 8, and adore your performance of this gorgeous Polonese. Subscribing right now)

How do you know this is the best version?
For every pianist, someone will say this is the best. Amazing.

May I ask about the pedal issue, coz my teacher told me it’s not necessary to follow the piano sheet for the use of pedal but just change the pedal once the sound being messed up , is it true ? Yet he didn’t provide any detail guidance with it and I feel so confused on it.

You could do it either way. I prefer not to follow the pedal on the piano sheet.

It has its attributes, but is nowhere near the level of Horowitz' 1950 rendition which is arguably perfect.

Nonsense. The rubato and pacing of this one is superior. Katsaris is a genius
