What's even more impressive was Sofia's armor was supposed to grant immunity to water based magic, meaning Makoto's affinity and spell held more power than the Water Spirits who blessed the armor with protection, hell the only reason Sofia survived the blast was her armor which got vaporized by the water spell.
Makoto: "Screw everything in this general direction!" Everyone: "Um... you're in the sky, and that direction is 'down'..." Makoto: "Shouldn'a pissed me off."
Just a heads up, Season 2's first 3-4 episodes act as catch up info that should have been included in Season 1 but wasn't, basically acting as a way to fill you in on things that make season 1 make sense before returning to events after the end of season 1 ended
Nah, Angel. He made a lake. Thinking he "annoyed" those two assholes. Our man Makoto has NO clue what he can do. Also, if you noticed, he decimated both the demon army and the hyuman army with that attack. He is the end times, should that world truly piss him off. I LOOOOOOVE this series!

One thing that makes her truly great might be explained in the third season, but we'll have to wait and see. Since it was part of one of the side stories of the WN, we can only hope they include it.
19:51 So, not a lot in season 1 and only a bit more in season 2, but the novel has entire chapters about the past either years ago, right before Makoto got isekai'd, or right after he disappeared. I REALLY don't approve of those chapters missing from the anime because a lot a lot a lot more matters to this story than what the MC is up to. Still, I adore the anime. What it does adapt is stupidly satisfying.
You can listen to the OST on RUclips for free. The song that played when Makoto firebombed everyone and then shot the god pillar of water is called "The Invincible" Makoto's theme that plays when he stops holding back. It first played when he fought The Black Spider of Disaster after she pierced him with her fangs.
Sofia is an interesting character. Glad we got more of her at the end of the 2nd cour of S2. She crazy but interesting lol. You were right, Angel, about Lancer being a part of the sword. Also, this is a show that I really enjoy. Super glad it's got a green light for S3.
I'm so excited for season three as well. Where we are right now, my guess will be that it will mainly deal with Makoto meeting the two heroes and visiting the two kingdoms. Which if that's the case, I can hardly wait for his meeting with Tomoki, ROFL.
@@Chinese_Name Why are you so upsetti spaghetti that I am calling it what it is? lol. But hey, you think what you want my dude. Just keep living your own little happiness and I support that
20:22 Man, I forget how nice the OST is sometimes! 20:29 Also, Makoto thinks up haikus OFTEN, so try to catch those 5-7-5 poems when you can, just for funsies.
I always find the entire "They'd follow me to the demiplane" such a simple plot device Like Mio and Tomoe would be waiting at the other side, it'd over so quick
The concern is less about them causing damage and more about them learning it exists. He doesn't know what they can and can't do yet, so letting them learn Asora exists and potentially escape with that knowledge is an unacceptable risk. The possibility of Bug (sorry, "the goddess") learning about it is the biggest threat to Makoto.
@@aeonise Well yes you're right, 90% of the problems in Tsukimichi are never physical, which makes it interesting since Makoto can't just use his unmeasurable power to fix things by force
Technically speaking Sofia did kill Lancer in the past, hence his appearance as a child, since he is still recovering from that, she can also use his powers for that as well, he is the Sword Dragon after all.
12:20 @Angel Rodriguez btw, Rembrandt said "majin" here, but the subs wrote out "mage." This is fucking wrong. "Majin" in this case, and in future references, means "devil" badically. Remember that, because that word might be used again pater. TenSura- Majin = magicule based lifeform Tsukimichi- Majin = devil
Majin can also be used to describe a magic person as well, like sorcerers. Even in your Tensura example, a magicule based lifeform is just another way of saying a being of magic and not an actual devil.
Yeah, majin is a really vague term. Literally it should be "devil" or "demon", but it's often used in all kinds of Japanese stories (novels, games, manga, anime, etc) for a variety of other things. In fantasy, it seems to often be some variant of "magical being", whether a magic user of some kind, genie, human-like being from another plane, or just an abnormally powerful being. It's not clear to me which version they intended here since the context of its use in the next season suggests some of both aspects.

it was a clever move tbh , till ep 10 i got a little bored but after ep 11 and 12 they forced me to watch the next season
The moment we see hundreds of Bhrid coming down like a meteor shower , we were all amazed , cuz I never thought this scene from this anime

Makoto just casually giving random people PTSD from watching his attacks.

This attack from Makuto was intended to "annoy" them
The description in the webnovel of the god pillar of water was more horrifying than the anime. The attack started small and grew as the rings broke.
