Pretty sure there were some fluids down :(
Yeah by the looks of it the entire track was covered in fluids 😬 - the heavenly kind!
But they only affected you🙄😂😂😂
And some solids too 💩💩
A'huh..A'huh, fluids you say....
It's the rubber laid down by the tyres on the racing line, especially at the apex. When dry it improves the grip, when wet it is like driving on ice.
Tomorrow: best seat cleaner shootout.
😂😂😂😂
I agree ☝️
Maybe he’s gonna start a new channel, "underwear most resistant to soiling."
🤣🤣
@@AR-rs2dy whole different Genre
Not sure what's scarier, the thought of hitting the tyre wall or the marring on the windscreen from you dry-wiping the chuff out of it 🙈
That must have been the sound of the fluids coming out…
Glad you and car is ok mate!!
He needs to replace his wipers by the sounds of it. I’ve just done mine as the we’re getting louder and louder
"Dry-wiping the chuff out of it" 😂😂😂
@@nathanpowell1545 I feel it, I've seen people use 303 aerospace to good effect, just apply it to the wiper and should also help with streaking/gliding smoothly
@@Darkhunter218 what is 303?
LOL no damage done that's the main thing Jon.
Damage to ego?
Good luck with cleaning your car the next day believe me that grass and dirt goes on places
Damage to his wipers lol
@@jarlevanlandeghem8595 the seat too..
Its a bmw there's definitely something broken down there
Him: *Loses control slides in circles onto the grass*
Also him in while it's happening: *heheh*
Hes just happy he went that way and not towards the wall
😂
I was in a way scarier situation then this before I would be the same way
Looked like a hell of a fun ride once you knew you weren't gonna kiss the wall, I love the nervous laughter. 😂
Good job at keeping it off the wall. Go out with an instructor if you can, they can give you some pretty priceless advice in how to avoid situations like this
Like what? Don’t accelerate mid-corner, don’t change gear mid-corner, don’t brake mid corner? No sudden movements?
I’d like to know what tips too if you don’t mind?
^ same
Dukey pretty much said what u can/should do already that’s the best way to avoid this, brake before you start turning and slowly let off the brakes while you start turning. I’ve lost control twice and both times was because I hit the brakes too hard in the beginning of the turn realizing I was going too fast. If you realise your going too fast when the turn has already begun it’s too late so make sure u know what speed u should be approaching the corner and don’t slam on the brakes to get yourself down to that speed
@@hisride I think you’ve missed the point of an instructor. Those points may be obvious to you and I but not all people know those things. The instructors are there to teach people the basics like what you’ve mentioned, make you practice them to get you comfortable with the car and make them relatively instinctive movements. Then once you’ve learnt them they’ll teach some more advanced wet weather techniques, like “wet-line” choice for an example.
At least there was grass and everyone’s safe and it looked fun as hell.🤘🏻😂
How do you get brown stains out of leather seats 😂😂
And that's how we found out the colour of adrenaline is brown!
💀
Snoff
Well, this kind of runoff space is really good. I'm so glad nothing happened and he can laugh it of and continue learning 😊
😂😂😂 Good job keeping her out of the tyre wall 👍
I keep re-watching to see if I could give any advice on how you could've handled that better, but it honestly looks like the tires just couldn't handle it. You may have overcorrected a tad on the steering wheel, but your goal was to not hit the wall, and you accomplished that. I say overall you did a good job at handling that. Just need better tires and a little more seat time in wet condition handling.
@@fups1 That would explain it. Thanks. Happened with me while drifting in the rain, rear got way too light and eventually sent me in the ditch.
@@fups1 that is not lift off oversteer obviously. you can see the throttle rev counter we went in with moderate consistent throttle down, no lifting of throttle. I kept the throttle down even when the car lost rear traction. the back end went, thats all. The mistake was too much opposite lock really. I was also not joking when I said there were fluids down.. pretty sure there was oil down had a chat with the chap in the honda behind he was running racing wets and he said he nearly came off as well. but people will think thats an excuse :) bottem line is when you are leaning on the tyres hard in very wet conditions, crashing is a reality :(
@@ForensicDetailing That explains it, the rear went way to quickly
@@ForensicDetailing I would say that the mistake was correcting it way too late, which caused an overcorrection afterwards. A very rookie mistake, but yeah keep working I guess
@@ForensicDetailing I'm no expert but yeah your rear just went like on ice, fluids seems appropriate
Lmao so it's late at night and I have the volume down and for the first 6 seconds I thought the wiper sound was him downshifting and it gave me the craziest chills ever haha
I love the honesty ! We all make mistakes .... its pure viewing 👍
Tomorrow’s video: How to clean your tyres and wheel arches
Hey Jon! Looks like your windshield needs a fresh coating since your wipers are running at full blast ;P
Nice for you to admit failure and to post the video, so others can understand, learn and enjoy
Bet that tyre wall looked fun as you were spinning.... You do have leather seats don't you 😂
The thing is that’s not a tyre wall. It’s a real wall with tyres in front
Look from another perspective: you learned many things in hard way. 👍
Never tracked, never revd past 3k, driven to church once a week, grass in the wheels is from recent grass-cutting boy our neighbor hired, he's still learning.
Oh Jon, I taught your were gone there lad 😬
Great control, I would have shat myself 😆
Nice one man! Don't stop practising and keep on driving :))
😆 brilliant! lol gotta laugh that off, finished off lovely
The little hand shuffle got him crashing out
Ooof, that’s an eye opener! Glad you saved it mate
Glad you never got hurt 👏👍
once you hit wet grass its like trying to regain control on an ice skating rink
jesus take the wheel
If you ran out of talent you’d have binned it.😁
Haha brilliant, nice save away from the tyres though!
I laughed because you laughed. That was definitely unwarranted fun for you! Lol
At least it caught back up. Car lives on 🤟
I don’t drive in a track but I would imagine at some point you’re going to spin out of you do it enough. Thanks for sharing!
That could’ve been bad bro. But I felt every emotion in this video lol
A kiss with that tyre wall would NOT have polished out.
Well held Sir!
Fair play mate. Same thing happened to me when I had an S2000 came off the road into a verge!
Proud of you Samir. You saved the car
Cue music!
You spin me right round baby right round~
That part of Goodwood is where I always spin out in Gran Turismo Sport...and that's not even in the wet 🤣
I had a motorcycle instructor say, “running out of talent” too.
Love your videos 👍 Try not to take your hands off the wheel so if you get a tank slapper like this, you know where the centre of the wheel is. Good effort!
No harm done and is always a good learning experience. That's what track days are for!
you made the right corrective action just a few seconds slow
Hahaha that will sure wake a person up. Glad your ok and the car is also.
Looks fun! Stay safe bruv
Fitting dialog in this episode ..hahaha!
It was a wet track , and the turn went slightly uphill, didnt take it into account, weight transfers to the front and that's it, there goes the back 🙂
Good save mate!
Great save. Got real get away driver skillz, Dad.
A real driver skills wouldn’t even have spun out!! How can u drift if u don’t accelerate... noobie spin out..
I got scared for you watching that. Glad it stayed off the wall for u
dang I love the interior of this bm
which model is this?
Experiences like this either end horribly or they gift you with an amazing story.
When there is never enough oppo available! Looked very unexpected so I bet you are right about fluid.
What!! That was extremely pridictable. Death grip wet slow hands. That was so easy to catch with a bit of throttle and quick opposite lock to balance the slide. This dude needs some time on the skid pad with traction off and needs to learn proper hand placement for stuff like this.
Great experience if you haven't tried before! Didn't cost any money though so limited how much you learned ;)
nicely done. lost it and took back control, avoiding serious damage.
Woah.. Good save from the wall tyre lol
😂😂 love it !
Saw this one coming as soon as I saw your hand positions on steering wheel. You had no chance there :D
Agreed this ten to two death grip has trouble written all over it. Zero finesse or control.
be glad you went off to the right, not the left of track :D
I did this once but in the dry. Its the change in tarmac on the the track. Get a patch of less gripy tarmac it just goes.
This is the definition of “at least we didn’t crash”
Was that the Dynamic Stability Control system that came on near the end of the spin making that grunting noise?
That was an impressive number of turns
good save to not bin it into the side mate.
good save. stay safe!
I could see exactly what was going to happen before it did there!lol.. Too shallow a line going in,with it being wet, you need to go off the racing line as it is polished, you did well not to park it though! always best to steer away from the banks!lol...well done
Absolutely right you did!
What traction mode was this? DCS off completely?
Well done on avoiding the tyre wall
the gods of luck have blessed you that day lol
Lucky you didn’t hit the wall there pal 😂👍🏻 change your trunks 🤣👍🏻
Title of the video has perfectly mached with the content
Oh what a lucky day you had! 🙏
Sorry can someone explain to me how did it happen? He didn't accelerate, squeeze the wheel, change gear or brake in the mid corner so I can't undestrand. Maybe aquaplanning or worn tyres?
A crash you can walk away from is a great crash. A crash you can drive away from is the best crash.
Coming up on the Forensic Detailing Channel - car air fresheners are they worth the money and do they do the job?
Racing in Europe 😂 every car review is always done in the rain lol
There was still some talent left over to keep it out of the tyre wall!
Yes and we call it luck!
Pretty good 👍
Nicely done
😂 the grip says enough
my F30 has a weak back end, wonder if the 2er is the same.
Well handled 👌
Massive butt pucker moment, good on you for missing the tire wall!
Is that the part of goodwood that has a slight dip?
Good job at keeping the tyres out of the track
accurate voice over too!
Drive in the dry line on wet ;) In this line have a lot of rubber on the asphalt plus water= slippery
this guy still laughing while spinning around 🤣
good reaction, you saved it
It's all fun and games until your personal car hits the wall! 😉
Great save!
Great video! Get got to laugh it off and drive away.
Good save bro!
There's usually more grip around the outside in the wet
Yup. I've learnt this recently
Ahhh
Perfect save!
Good job on not putting it in the wall. Quick steering to correct helped there I believe? I'm no expert but like to analyze and learn.
Yea his counter steering was pretty on point but perhaps braking after he had his wheel cut could have helped idk, I hit a crazy uphill turn and got sideways in my mustang and counter steered it perfect but the uphill gave me the balance to stay on the road and decelerate just through steering
I was always taught once your in the grass just let go of the wheel and let it happen😂🤷♂️
At least you turned out of it and avoided the wall haha
Lol that reminds me got any tips for noisy wipers?
Well that 10 and 2 grip and hands wrapped around the wheel like that. Couldn't have seen that coming
