All these people complaining about the KV-1 moving to 5.0 probably never had the displeasure of facing it with 3.7 Shermans/T-34s/KV-1s/Chi Nu, *especially* during events or sales.
Yeah it is used to be everywhere back then and it stomped all matches. It needed that nerf, however now it feels like it is useless instead, because there are no other good tanks to pair it up with unless you want to literally go higher then its own br.

You never, ever, ever get a downtier in this tank. Not at 4.7 nor at 5.0. The reason is that the tiger tiers (used to be 5.3, now 5.7 and 6.0) are so hugely popular that you will ALWAYS get pulled into 5.7 and 6.0 games. Always. So actually nothing changed for this tank at all, you were playing 5.7 100% of the time before, and now you are still playing 5.7 at the time. And of course, at 5.7 absolutely everything can derpshoot you.
This tank was so much fun at 4.7. Wish they didn't move it to 5.0 cuz fighting 6.0s SUCKS but I understand. I had so much fun even several 10+ kill games with this beauty at 4.7
Best tank I ever bought. Grinded out the rest of tier 3 to tier 5 in 4 days and then the Maus in 6 hours with it when it came back the first time (with no premium account) I still don’t know how I did it. 10/10 would recommend Wish it was still 4.7 tho. Would love to relive its glory days one last time. I would’ve gotten nukes multiple times if they were at it’s BR

The 1.0 BR uptier/downtier range killed it. With just 0.7 it could have stayed at 4.7 without the possibility to seal club the 3.7s. Now at 5.0 it's kinda average esp when uptiered to 6.0. 0.7 increments would also mitigate this problem a bit here. Well, maybe we'll get a prototype Panther at 5.0 to complement it in the next patch. Would make a german 5.0 lineup more playable.
It was an awesome tank, but once it got raise to 5.0 I barely played it because I prefer using my Panther D and Tiger H1 (both with historic camos) before the kw1c.
It also gets cucked by tbe kv85 as that tank has a better gun in every way no skyscraper known as the cupola and the same armor to boot and turret is even better
@@el_DartoSuprapto You understand what an uptier is? Anyway T3485, and the majority of ISU and SU are about 5.7 or even 5.3, yes the Su100 it’s 6.0 but who plays the Soviet antitank line? You normally find at those ranks the KV1s, T34s, and PT76, even AA vehicles. And if you were to find an Su100 it’s easy as hell to kill those.
I use to play this tank on many events in the past. But since it became 5.0 its not even in any of my German presets anymore. There are barely any other tanks on 5.0, and the few that are, have better guns. I'm not saying its a bad tank just I no longer have a reason or lineup to use it anymore. And to be honest, I rarely see one nowadays. Definitely has to go back to 4.7 just like the B1 ter to 2.3!

This is the same common thing that has happened to me with the t126 used to be a beast a 2.7 when it got moved up to 3.0 it kinda killed it it’s armor can’t compete with the tanks you face meanwhile the gun is decent but doesn’t have enough explosive filler
while i would like it back at 4.7, when i first encountered this thing in my T-34-1942 i had no way to pen it and it could easily pen me i would always think "oh if that thing sees me and frontally engages me im dead"
Personally I love the KV1 C because originally you didn’t have to deal with the high pen German guns. But now that it’s been up tiered it’s become more or less a reserve tank for me. Kinda like the T20 for the US line 6.0 seems really annoying for a tank that is outdated now.

Honestly this tank was disgusting at 4.7. It was probably the most pay to win vehicle in the game. At 5.0, I still think it performs better than Tiger 1s in most ways, but it seriously struggles in full uptiers.
I miss the old 4.7 BR it had, it was so strong and i got it with a 90% coupon i got for playing War Thunder or something, made me pretty sad when it moved..
i got this vehicle like a month ago everytime i get in the match always high br everytime t-34-85's jumbos is 1's almost every vehicle kills me with 1 shot its not feels like a heavy tank anymore every gun can kill it from front plate and front turret
like always BR compression causes issues again not surprised, i remember using this tank its been a couple years since i have and i think its fair to give it a 6-7 out of 10 overall i like it and i boils down to player skill and play style
At 5.0 you have no lineup for it, yo you either take weaker 4. vehicles with it, get uptiered and have bad backups, or you bring it out at 5.3, ending up with a lacking gun and armor that does not matter anymore at 6.3 .. It faces IS-2's! a lot. Br compression strikes again
I'm sure it still works but why would I bother finding that out? I have a full lineup of objectively better vehicles at that BR. I know it was devastating at 4.7 but now there is no 4.7.

Pretty much the whole German tech tree at this br is undertiered so you can happily bring Pz IVs and jagdpanzer IV. Even though you don´t have armor in the PZ IVs they still work at this tier because you can penetrate everybody from frontal weakspots and sides. The only disadvantage with doing this lineup is the terrible rp and sl modifiers with such low tier vehicles. You also can`t really grind tier 4 with them.

I dislike what they did to german tree they lowered the Panzer 4 all bc russian tanks are op sadly they moved them from rank 2 to rank 3 for some reason but left the premium pz4 still rank 3 and the nerf to 20 mm is just pain and still no buff to 37 mm
This thing at 4.7 was a menace. I have a 19 kill game with this thing when it was at 4.7. I'm not that good lol This thing belongs at 5.0. And it's still pretty damn good.

Angle doesn't matter when your cupola and breech can easily be penetrated by US 75. Most people just don't know how to play against it but I think it still deserved the nerf because of its firepower and mobility combined with decent armor.
Compare this to the kv84 I think it's ass weaker gun in every way same meh speed added weakness of the massive skyscraper that is the cupola armor is bout the same
I've faced dozens of these things in my 75 Jumbo, 9times out of 10 I come out the winner of that conflict because the cannon can't pen the FP and as long as you aim for the mail-slot you can almost always kill it with an American 75mm even at extreme angles.

I think 5.0 is pretty fair, cause it was a bit too strong at 4.7 in a full down tier, compared to how strong it is now in a full down tier.
Should have stayed at 4.7..... useless at 5.0 cause u have to put it in a 5.3 line up.
It doesn’t matter anyway because there aren’t a lot of 6.0 vehicles (in case of a full uptier), so there shouldn’t be a problem

The premium panzer IV might be the better choice here. Lower BR, same cannon, and I’m willing to guarantee its BR is going to stay the same over time
