Not sure what you mean "the chair doesn't even pop up on the chair". Anytime a unit is reclined to far or tilted too far back, you will have a Red X show up in the upper left hand corner of your joystick display screen. Return the unit to the static position for normal operation. The Red X should disappear and a green dot should take its place. If the unit is tilted or reclined and you have no power to the joystick, make certain your batteries are not dead. Plug the unit in and let it charge in the recline/tilted position. Let it charge overnight. If that doesn't get you power to the joystick, make sure the joystick is plugged into the base of the unit. The connection is located at the back of the chair at the base. There is no manual reset. You should reach out to a local mobility store in your area and have them take a look at it. You could also give Quantum a call and see what one of their techs say about this issue. Their number is 800-800-8586. Make sure you get to one of the techs to assist you on this matter.
