6:39 IN VIDEO IS THE SHORT AND FAST ANSWER -- thank you lovely people...
Please, do me a ''solid'' and give me a thumbs-up on this video content and link sharing; it took me hours to research all this data and then only 15 minutes to produce... Really guys, RUclips is not as easy as we all make it look.

Here is a link to the descriptive product / match that Kubota shows... it states, ISO VG 32, www.walmart.com/ip/AW-32-Hydraulic-Oil-Fluid-ISO-VG-32-SAE-10W-5-Gallon-Pail/54045733 So, save a few hard earned dollars and test it out. Also, be sure of the anti-foaming and hydrophobic ability of your cross reference.

Trying to figure this out myself. I have an L3901HST.
On page 59, in the specs for the transmission fluid it calls for Kubota Super UDT2. For the front axle it calls for Kubota Super UDT2 or 80-90 SAE.
In smaller print below the chart it says it is "KUBOTA Super UDT-2: For an enhanced ownership experience, we highly recommend Super UDT-2 to be used instead of standard hydraulic/transmission fluid."
"enhanced ownership experience"......WTF does that mean?
Below that it says, "Regular UDT is also permitted for use in this machine".
So, does this mean that I can use any brand UDT, and if so can I use it in the front axle? I think Kubota wants us to buy the super expensive Kubota SUDT2, but cannot require us to buy their brand. They call it by name and then in small print state that regular UDT can be used, but leave the details very vague to create doubt in our minds so we will buy the SUDT anyway. This gives them an out if someone claims they force us to buy their brand to maintain warranties. As much as I hate to have the government get involved in anything, I think it is time for there to be created a official classification system (like the one for motor oil) for different types of hydraulic fluids, instead of manufactures creating their own system out of their ass in order to keep everybody confused.

Just got a new L3302, with only 8 hours on it I noticed a fitting was loose and most of the oil leaked out... now it's Sunday and the dealer is closed and I cannot find UDT2 anywhere else... nothing like a broken down tractor 2 days after buying it.

All the manufacturers use FUD and hyper marketing fluff to keep the consumers money towards their super expensive branded lubricants. Most people falls for the notion of better safe than sorry. I have a Kubota and I remind myself it is a damn tractor, not high performance precision equipment like my race cars.

Viscosity and temperature range counts... and some have the additive to help with keeping rust down from some saturated metals... exposed crank case metal will rust (as the lubricant drips from the surfaces to the bottom of case = the protective film does not remain)...
A sitting piece of equipment will usually show this rust I am referencing and one theory is to use first a larger micron filer before the 10 micron filter e.g. 20 microns and then the 10 microns

Interesting. Would like to see a long term wear comparison vs a heavier oil in high ambient temperatures. UDT is pretty light compared to 80-90.

re competitors oils, you will not some say Suitable,, That isnt the same as approved. there was a suit about it and the term came up as the deciding factor . and the company says it just works no guarantee how long ...

This is silly, your reply is just made up shit!
The product is 100 percent compatible per Kubota.
      Guarantee on how long?
Another crazy statement from you, Kubota does not guarantee how long oil last...
You need to move on!... You can't learn anything from me.
People like you lack an ability to even debate with facts!

thx for the video. We have a kubota m-5 091 tractor. We are getting ready to change out all fluids and filters. The dealer advises that we bring the tractor in for 1000 hr maintenance but I think it consists of changing all fluids and filters. Was planning on doing it onsite ourselves.
I was thinking of using the Duraguard synthetic blend universal hydraulic tractor fluid instead of the Kubota super udt2, what do you think?
Also was considering using after market filters, do you have any thoughts about that, Thank You!

Do an oil analysis and determine condition of motor wear.
Then make your decision based on oil 🛢️ performance...
It also depends on your operating temperature, ambient

I bought a new 3301 with a backhoe attachment for the dinky little jobs. What a poorly engineered piece of junk. Like a child's toy. The hydraulics howl louder than any other equipment I have. Very week and slow. Checked the hydrolic filter and it was collapsed. Warranty just changed the oil. What a joke.
They say use only high dollar UDT oil. They also say don't mix it with anything elsel. Apparently mine doesn't even work on their high dollar oil.
I bought another Cat ( bigger of course ) and it is sure good to have another piece of real equipment - no games. It works and takes 10wt hydraulic oil just like my other Cat. Any brand oil and in all components except the engine. No special UDT that costs big dollars and does nothing different.
And besides 80-90wt is way thicker than UDT and they say it interchanges in places? It can't be that critical.
Kubota is a cheep scam company to me - but they have lots of equipment out there. Some must work for some people, or else they have never operated quality equipment before. Never again will I get a Kubota. They are like an AMC Matador among Camaros. and Mustangs

Wow. You obviously had an issue with your machine that you blamed on the oil...
Sounds like you have a ''flow issue'' , which can be numerous issues... none of which you should have continued running the equipment on.
You should have fix the issue and not run the machine.
To your oil comment, viscosity counts and you should not disrespect the importance of this based on usage / conditions of machine's operating conditions.
So, calling Kubota junk is not logical, you describe abuse of ownership on your part... But, yes, Kubota likes to overcharge for the same viscosity sold cheaper by others.
