I'm currently recovering from an illness and your stories have kept me entertained. Thank you so much, Chris! Love your sunny and charming personality and it's so much fun to watch you set up camp, cook, and scare us with your great stories!
I don't know your illness...But ask Jesus Christ to heal you and ask him for forgiveness from your Sins..I have Crohn's and had 5 major stomach surgeries and illiostomy bags. I had a softball size mass removed from my stomach and told I had Cancer and less than a year to live!! I got on my knees and asked Jesus Christ to Save me and heal me! I have no Cancer and got my health back! No illiostomy bags and all that was 9 yrs ago!!! JESUS CHRIST IS EVERYTHING!!! God bless Frank from Ohio
Man oh man! I can’t tell you how much I look forward to your scary night time base camp stories. Thanks for all your excellent work - and for adding the scary trail walks too!
I just want to say, you have the best personality and this is fast becoming my favorite yt channel. Please keep safe out there. These bigfoot stories are terrifying! Thanks Chris, really enjoyed this one.xx✌️
And that is why David Paulides of Missing 411 says have a Personal Locator Beacon with you when out alone. That fella was indeed lucky he didn't disappear!
Holy Smokes, I live about 7 miles from Poulsbo, in fact my favorite grocery market and doctor's office are there. Cool story, and of course NW Washington is full of Big Footers... allegedly. ;-)
Love your content. I have believed in “bigfoot” since 1980s when visiting my uncle in California. Retired federal marshal who fished and hunted in Sierra Nevadas. He saw them and knew they existed. He showed us pictures of tracks and scat. Even collected hair. His native friends called them night watchers but i don’t remember the actual word he used.
I totally agree! His storytelling is epic, and his cooking skills make me hungry for food every time! Even foods I don't like, ie asparagus, he made me want some cooked JUST LIKE THAT!😍🤣👍
Thanks Chris. Your story is helping me remember parts of my childhood that I had forgotten. Also, I was born in Minnesota and raised all over the country. Lots of fun adventures. 👍🤗
I just love these Sunday stories! They really captivate my interest…but Chris I will tell you I usually watch during the day when my family is all around…🤣 you are such a great Story teller…how do I gage this? I NEVER FALL ASLEEP LISTENING…love camping the outdoors…but enjoy just as much from my living room or bedroom…THANK YOU CHRIS! Oh! I almost forgot and the BEER and food you cook! 👍🏼
Hey Chris, I have to say that I truly look forward to your videos every weekend. The stories are pretty wild and the scenery is breathtaking, thank you for taking us along with you. Stay safe out there. Cheers!!
After this week of the hurricane, it is really great for you getting all the bad things that are going on! God bless you for your stories. You the man!!
This was so intense that when my little dog jumped on the bed while I was listening to your story in my dimly lit bedroom I jumped and gasped and both dogs turned to look to see what happened! Really shook me up! Why oh why did he stop to look at this thing! I bet he never rode through the forest alone again! Thanks for another good one Chris!
The car lights off in the distance add to the intrigue of you story. (I "think" those were car lights.....sometimes headlights sometimes taillights). That footprint that you took a picture of, looks like it was sunk in pretty deep.....a HEAVY footprint......interesting!
Yeah I don't know how he can do it I would be done I would be done and I wouldn't be doing it at night I so would not be doing it night I mean he could tell the stories during the day but I know people like it at dark but too bad that would be too scary for me and he's had encounters she seen Bigfoot tracks by where he was so I wouldn't have not be doing that alone no way
I live in Tacoma, WA about 45 minutes from Poulsbo, WA on the Olympic Peninsula! Love your stories! I also interviewed renowned anthropologist Dr. Grover Krantz about Bigfoot in the mid 80’s at my alma mater Washington State University. Fun times!
I can't tell you Chris, how excited I become when I see that you've uploaded, yet , another creepy campfire story! You are so good at what You do! I have to ask you though- Do you ever get creeped out in the woods, in the dark, walking back to your vehicle, or In this case, camping out, after you've told your story?? 😳😳 Anyhoo, as always , GREAT story!! Thanks so much Chris. As always , be safe and Happy Trekking!! 😊😊 P.S. Beautiful Morning sunrise and Mountain View!! Wow!! 💛💛
It's amazing how everyone seems to escape from an alleged creature that is so fast, so stealthy and has the jump on everyone it encounters. They're apparently non life threatening other than their stinky BO, bad breath and howling noises. They seem to be nothing but Mountain Bullies if they are real. With all of the advances in night photography, trail cams, hunters every where now plus the fact that everyone has a cell phone nobody EVER gets a clear photo of these bullies of the forest, amazing isn't it. I wonder what would actually happen if someone just stood their ground when they saw one of these mountain bullies, I'd bet nothing. Carry a gun, stand your ground and see if it comes at you. I've been in many mountain ranges, hunted, fished, trapped, camped out and did jungle warfare training while in the service and have yet to be eaten alive or chased by one of these mountain hillbillies. I think if they're real they have no authority to physically harm human beings, otherwise they would have taken out all the people in your stories. Maybe they would be considered cannibals by their buddies for eating humans because they are human which explains why everyone lives that encounters them. This could be a group of humans that got unlucky in the gene pool and moved to the mountains to escape being ridiculed, as simple as that. Either way, there are tons of television shows on big foot and not one of them has definitive evidence/proof of these existing yet. When you have one on an autopsy table I'll be a TRUE believer.
Hi Chris. Great creepy story. Like someone said in the comments, they like the way you tell stories. I agree. I’m wondering if anyone in your audience has ever encountered a mountain lion. I’ve become interested in mountain lions because people are showing them on their Ring doorbell footage in neighborhoods in my county. Nothing new here, however, I’ve yet to see one and I’m in a semi rural area. Plus, I have a seasonal creek on my property. Thank you for your fabulous storytelling!!
ClassicChevyKat I did see a mountain Lion at the least expected time while walking close to home with my dog. I live in Oregon on Chehalem mountain it’s very rural. One crossed my path not far ahead & entered into the deep woods. It sat low in the thick of the trees watching for awhile then moved on. I was not sure what was going to happen but thankfully it was a very calm & it was so exciting to see one that close. I also saw one driving through British Columbia once years ago. It had found a massive Bull Elk roadkill off the side of the road & was standing over it.
@@daveminturn2206 Saw a great documentary on mountain lions called California Mountain Lions: the legends of California. Very informative. Last year, people were recording bear on their Ring doorbell cameras. I’m in Sonoma County and it’s pretty populated so that was unnerving. Saw a documentary that black bear can be very aggressive.
Here is South East Georgia I know of someone who has seen a large black cat, like a panther in her woods near her house. I’ve read that some large cats can be darker and look like a panther. Panthers used to be native here but we’re over-hunted…. But I suppose it’s possible they still exist. The person who saw it is entirely credible as a witness. Also, there are many stories of big foot sightings in the rural areas here.

Loved this story Chris, you just cant help thinking about other possible scenerios that might have happened to this man. I believe he was extremely lucky. Poor bloke wont ever forget that day. What an asolutely beautiful Sunrise 🌞 Thanks Chris 🥩♨️☕️❤️🇦🇺🦘
Hi Chris! I've been watching you for about a year . I went to 8th grade in Carson City (74-75) and for PE in ski season, we got to learn to ski on Wednesdays at Mt. Rose 🌹!! I am fondly remembering most of the places you set up/camp for these videos. My late Daddy and I explored everywhere!! My first , remembered encounter/ sighting happened up here near Crater Lake. 2002. Winter. Thanks for sharing people's stories! 🥰🫂🌲💓
Also I wanted to share that I’ve lived in Sequim, Port Angeles and in Forks Washington. You know when the birds all go silent it gives us that creepy dark feeling? Well I lived where I had a swampy-pond that covered a couple acres just out back of my house. What is really creepy is at night in the summer when the millions of frogs in the pond all go from sounding so loud, it’s like their all screaming at once to complete silence all at once where you could hear just a single frog plop into the water! It sends chills up the spine!
Not only was the tale great Chris as well as your narration but wow that view you had in the morning was spectacular ! The color on the mountain....everything....like an early American painting come to life. Thank you ! Ellen
So much fun to see these place you camp in. This was my old stomping grounds when I lived, worked, skiied and camped in Lake Tahoe and all around that area. Thanks for such great story telling Chris! Not sure I want to solo camp anymore in these forests, now that BF has become more prevalent.
Chris, I hope there is a road behind you, about elbow/bicep height? There's a series of lights from about 8:19-9:54 and then again around 11:42-11:54. and 14:42-15:02 ...many more lol... If not, you have something paranormal happenning! You had me on the edge of my seat! That was a good one! Thanks Re-watching the video, it starts around 4:06 so it must be a road
Great story as always Chris! I certainly appreciate your stories when it involves cooking and camping, especially in the Sierras. My son and I were driving through the Caldor Fire burn scar today deer hunting and it reminded me what a beautiful forest the Sierra Nevada's are even after a fire. A fire is often needed to "clear things up" and this fire certainly did that. Some areas of the burn looked like Mars! Regardless, I appreciate you and your videos and maybe you can shoot a video in this area. Keep Hiking!!
Hey Base Camp Chris. 🤗You're such a talented story teller. So Chris, I listen to your videos about every night. One night I had pretty disturbing dreams after one of your scary stories. Then tonight you casually mention this footprint you saw just recently, and show us a picture. Yet, you don’t seem to be phased at all. Hi Chris,

I was in Poulsbo that year, and I remember feeling a heavy spiritual darkness about the place… not to mention hearing strange howling sounds.
How many tabs did you drop?
