I would highly recommend to play Zelda Breath of the wild. It's my favourite switch game. Mario odyssey is up there too. For luigi's mansion, i'm currently playing it right now and really enjoy it. Only thing is that it's a little short compared to the other two games that i mentioned, but still a great game.

I don't have one but the switch lite faces forward and the pocket is for like extra games or the thing (I forgot what it was called) to clean the switch.. and than the game carderches are for the games. Hope this helped.

Please put on the screen protector if you dont it will scratch outta no where even if you do it yourself you'll see closely outta nowhere I have to 2 scratches even tho I'm very careful with it and a case since it you place it down sometimes it will scratch the system the plastic they used on this system any switch is very cheap so I highly recommend to any to get a screen and shell for it !!
ARMY_ BTS I felt thattttt it took me forever to find anywhere that was selling it at good price, I luckily found one on eBay(that happens to also come with animal crossing included) but the price margin between what I found it for and what it typically goes for was woefully large
I had the switch lite for a moment for the same reasons you mentioned, but i swapped it for the regular switch because you can do way more with the regular one, and playing with friends etc is a must for me hahaha
