    Would love to see a tear down of Homme Plisse Issey Miyake pants. Their pleating looks real interesting along with almost everything being polyester

      I’ve always loved the entire Issey Miyake universe, and the Homme Plissé Line is really beautiful to be sure. But personally I would never buy polyester pants. 🤷🏻‍♂️

      I'm not a fan of polyester clothing either but for permanently pleated garments, unfortunately we have to use polyester. Applying the same texture to natural fibers like silk would require chemical treatments and they're not going to last long. :( @@willstafford4159

    I recently discovered your channel and I love how you nerd out on details and try to educate people. This world absolutely needs this. Since you know a lot about denim from Turkey, I would really love to hear your opinion on the japanese selvedge denim trend.

    • @calum.buchanan
      @calum.buchanan Месяц назад +1

      Selvedge denim has been popular for the better part of the last 40 years, at this point it's more of a category, or a marker for quality, than it is a trend.
      Japanese selvedge denim (and selvedge denim at large) uses traditional/pioneering weaving and dying techniques associated with the golden era of American denim and workwear. When American mills (Levi's, Cone, etc) began modernising in the 50's and 60's, Japan began to acquire the old machinery and started replicating and enhancing American denim standards.
      It is estimated that close to 90% of the worlds vintage shuttle looms are now in Japan, meaning that Japan almost exclusively has the skills and resources to produce what is considered to be traditional denim.
      Hard to summarise here, but these is a heap of info online if you are interested.

    As a male in my early 30s, I’m finally at a place to spend a little more on clothes which is what brought me to your channel. What I’m most interested in seeing is a video comparing multiple $60-$120 Tshirts so I can be better informed on where to spend my money.
    Tshirt brands like American Giants, Wonder Looper, Huckberry, Banana Republic , Abercrombie etc…
    I’m tired of fast fashion and I want quality. I need your expertise to know who is making quality products. Honestly I love your content I just wish you had more videos with brands I’m looking at.

    What makes a good and reliable waistband elastic material? Some lose their elasticity after a couple of washes, some turn to crumble and what you got is a house rag instead of an undergarment.

    When is the tier list coming? I would really appreciate a tier list that considers the value and quality of clothing brands in relation to their price. I truly believe I speak for a large percentage of people who worry about overpaying for clothing items that don’t match their quality. But the real question is, is there a brand that is actually 100% worth it
