Great video! My wife and I discovered Cedarburg almost 10 years ago and just love coming back whenever we can. We usually stay at the Washington house and just walk, eat, drink, and shop is this awesome little town. The people are so nice and chill. Highly recommend visiting.
Greetings from Colombia. I have the state of Wisconsin on my list to my vacations this year, I hope !!!. Beautiful town, beautiful song (I just found it in internet). I'm improving my Englisg, I just learned from your videl the word "pop" (visit) -> "we just popped into...". Thanks.....
I used to spend a ton of time in Cedarburg at my grandma's house in my youth! In your very first scene on the bridge - that used to be a VERY long time ago a bridge for the trolley line and it had a very much smaller narrow walking/bike path along side the tracks (It had stopped being a trolley line by the time I was a kid - i'm now in my mid 40s). Another thing I miss is the Red Owl grocery store over on mill st near Washington Ave! I think the building is now a commercial building with a bunch of random businesses in it. I do miss that town, it was very quiet and a great place to visit!
That area on the north side NE corner of Wisconsin and Bridge, was going to be bought by developers in late 1970’s and made into a gaudy strip mall, as you see many along Port Washington road in Mequon or further south in Glendale between Bayshore and Good Hope Road. The owner of the Washington House Inn, purchased the land and buildings and preserved the area.
It looks like you had a wonderful time in Cedarburg. It looks like a really lovely town with lots to do and see. Thank you for showing us around. I love your red hat btw xx
I seen GRO play there 6 years ago. My wife and I was there to help out with a wedding and I didn’t catch the show on Facebook. But I was messaging with Denton. He told me where he was playing and I said I was in Wisconsin. Long story short, I was 40 minutes away for where he was playing so we jumped in the car and went to go see them. It was so cool.
@@LostandRemote No! My sister lives there in Sheboygan. We were there to help with my niece’s wedding. I live in Elizabethtown Kentucky. Crazy surprise.
... Nice visit. Cedarburg's a cool name to. Struck make those mini-dozer kits there I see at the antique farm shows. There a Struck mini-jeep also .. TY .. Love Kelly ..!
Oh, the Washington House... It's actually haunted. 1st floor actually.. 101 and 102 have some history to them because before they were hotel rooms it was a Doctors office. I worked as a kid at the Washington House when it first re-opened in the 80's. There were stories passed around between staff for years, but it never was really acknowledged to the public. The basement has a really creepy vibe. I never had any experiences.. but you wouldn't be the first to "be kept up at night". The Woolen Mill is also reportedly haunted as well. Restaurants in the Mill that came and went through out the early years had staff that would report table settings being moved, and plates of food mysteriously showing up in the oven. I grew up in Cedarburg and I know that most of these stories were never told outside of the locals mainly because "Ghosts" weren't really a big "tourist" getter back in the 80's and 90's when Cedarburg was trying to establish itself as a destination. It really is one of a kind place in Wisconsin.. Glad I got to grow up there.

I never heard any such stories. Family lived in Cedarburg for years.

Sucks that the city council is ruining it with apartments
A few apts on the north side? Cedarburg has always had plenty of apts. well maintained.

I could probably tell you a thing or two about walking paths.
I bet you could. But I’m so busy 😂
should have gotten drunk with the locals at maxwell's
It’s strange for me to see people think that cedarburg is interesting. Since I live here it is all kind of normal for me :)
Haha I get that! I feel the same way about my hometown. We really did love it there though!

What a great place to call home!
