Just for ppl curious. After a while the message slot will say iMessage again. But once you send the text it will not say delivered or go green. Then that slot will say text msg again. It resets. Doesnt mean you’re unblocked

That’s not true ppl when you texting a iPhone it shows IMessage but if you texting an android it will show text message

They could of turned iMessage off in there settings. Doesn’t mean your blocked
If they’re on android or whatever it’s always green because it isn’t comparable with the exclusive iMessage function. Lol 😅 FaceTime etc. I’ve notice service interruptions can cause this between iPhones though, too. But yes it’s indicative of being blocked.
Not necessarily sometimes their phone is on airplane mode or the phone is off and it will still be green. That doesn’t mean they’re blocked.

Then they’re probably just in bad reception (likely) or have a dead phone or switched their iMessage settings. That arrow will always turn green if you’re blocked it wouldn’t stay blue. Sometimes there’s a delay, but it’s not longer than a few hours. And your green messages will stop saying “sent as a text message” and start to be blank there instead.

Sometimes when it hasn’t been refreshed ,it also also shows iMessage , my friend has blocked me and it still shows “iMessage”…but once u try to send a text it’ll fail and will show the regular green”text message” icon ….so I ain’t messing with the inbox,and it shows blue…this way it feels I haven’t got blocked and I could still send a message .even though I know it’s not true💀….but 🙃

The green just means u are using cellular data. Green usually mean that person owns an android device. If someone has blue, that just means they have an apple product

The reason that you see that it is green and blue is because one has a iPhone and one could have any other type of phone
And the reason that it says iMessage and text messages also because of the different phone types
I learn something new every day even though when your block on iPhones, it will say not delivered. It could be either airplane mode. Their phone is broken or turned off. That’s what I heard. You’re right about all those instances! And it’s quite confusing. Some things seem more predictable during any of the times you mentioned, and that’s the fact that it will say either ‘delivered’ ‘read’ or ‘sent as a text message’ under the message you sent, and the green color usually changes back to blue fairly soon, within a day for sure, when connection is an issue. If they get a new phone, you’re correct, the green will begin and never go back to blue, BUT the messages will deliver and you’ll be getting responses to them. Theoretically, that is😂. Good luck!

Yes that’s how it is at the beginning, at that time when it changes to green, the words “text message” should replace “iMessage” in texting bubble and arrow goes green

what if you swipe delete the messages and then pull up the number through phone contacts, i did that and now when i type something the arrow is blue and it says imessage but i refuse to believe that she unblock me
It’s possible that something may have changed because of that broken line of communication , however, my guess is that it would go right back to green and say text message after about a day max. If you’re feeling brave, send something innocuous or even just an empty text bubble, if it stays blue, maybe she’s getting a little curious to see if you’re trying to contact her. Some people literally go back and forth on this whole blocking decision.
If it turns green and everything returns to the “looks blocked still” at least it’s all reset and you can trust when it switches to iMessage the next time
If you have been blocked on android, then try this by putting your sim in an iphone , will it say iMessage in the bar ? Or would you have to make one attempt to iMessage before the device realised the number was already blocked albeit on an android device?

Your iphone needs at least one time of being unsuccessful in delivering before it’ll detect that it’s blocked. Don’t forget that green messages sometimes are just bad reception. But when bad reception you’d still see iMessage in the text bubble. It’ll switch to text messages there after time passes if you’re blocked

It’s weird because NO, you don’t need to to send a message in order to see that the “iMessage” is back in the text bar. You just need to leave and close out your messages screen every so often so that it’ll refresh.
As soon as you see that it’s back, they unblocked you. You can now type a letter and double check that the send arrow is blue again instead of green
Unless they’re literally blocking and unblocking several times in the same short timeframe that you’re also looking, you can trust that the next message you’d send would be “delivered” and blue again, if you also had seen “iMessage ” in the typing area
There is a unpredictable delay in this iMessages glitch. Sometimes it’s really quick to update the unblocked phone, and other times it took almost an hour to update on my end, though a text WOULD have gone through and reset all those iMessage indicators in real time.
So, the answer is:
Sending a text would reset stuff faster, but not at all necessary. It just changes.

If so, I’d guess you’re blocked. Keep an eye on the writing in the typing bubble. After a couple attempts to send are made, it’ll show “text message” in that space.
It’ll change to “iMessages” when/if that person unblocks you. U won’t have to do anything it’ll just change once they unblock you.

For iMessage if it does not say delivered at the bottom it’s either you are blocked or their phone is off. However if it’s been days since the message was sent and it doesn’t say delivered you are undoubtedly blocked.

Was it recently? I noticed this happened after sending a couple texts and that first one always looks blue until you go back and check and see it flips to green. If the other person was indecisive, you may have been blocked and unblocked and blocked again. After about 3 attempts to push a text through and being blocked, your phone is an anomaly if it doesn’t do this . Try it with a friends phone right next to you. Give it a little time to catch up and send at least 3 texts.

It’ll be blue. I message her. Then messages will be green. A few hours or days later, it’ll be blue again.
I suspected she was unblocking to see if I was still messaging her then blocking me back again.
If the SAME message that WAS blue, turns green after time passes, you’re probably blocked the whole time but your phone didn’t catch up yet. However, if a message STAYS blue and the next green and the next blue but stays blue, she’s blocking and unblocking OR in bad reception.
Usually the bad reception texts start off as green and say sent as a text message.
She also could have her phone off or on airplane mode. If you call and it keeps ringing you’re not blocked
