Carnival has changed a lot since I grew up there in the 1980s. They used to have costumes instead of bikinis with flare. I remember when a tourist would get yelled at for being in town in their bathing suit.
Its Soca - a VI homegrown subgenre of calypso - not the best recording or bands and always better live when the gals dem get all wind up and a back it nice and close - you'd learn that rhythm quick 😅
