The umbrella for "Thats the Spirit" album cover is the umbrella you talked about in this video. The start of that record and everything released after is different everytime. They were letting us know about the change before we knew it
Song called Masochist, "Am I addicted to the misery? Is this how I'll always be?" - Polaris And that's interesting that you thought about Beartooth. Because Polaris has a little same sound with them Love your videos Peace \m/
That’s probably what it is, i had the same reaction to that section of the song, i love it but it feels so familiar. And i’ve never heard that bear tooth song, but i love polaris.
Not really, Bring Me had a few really heavy releases before slowly mellowing but still the occasional heavy bit. Emarosa had one heavy EP and immediately started mellowing. They haven't done anything close to heavy since. Versus Bring Me has still had a few moments where they've gone really hard.
BMTH from there first record all the way to their new stuff is fire. Yes they've changed sounds A LOT of times, but they always have their unique sound no matter how heavy or soft, and no matter if it's heavy or soft they will still write a banger!
I feel like Tool falls into the category of being a one of a kind sound that speaks to masses too. They're unmistakeably Tool, their own genre entirely.
Intro has heavy Linkin Park vibes, Hybrid Theory. The pre chorus is 100% directly from Promise Me by Badflower. I love the high notes Oli hits in the chorus. His singing is really getting better. Love the breakdown, I wish I was a tad longer. Overall amazing song and I can’t wait for album.
Linkin Park and BMTH are my favourite bands of all time. To hear LP vibes in this just pushes this song to its limit, clear influence and a brilliant song.
"Never heard before" chester Bennington is rolling in his grave right now. Love them to death but Linkin park definitely brought this type of sound to the public ever and mass popularity. Time has just let it fade to the back until now and I'm so glad BMTH is the one bringing it back to the mainstream
The chord progression in this song is the same in “Somewhere I Belong” by Linkin Park. Which makes sense since LP is one of there biggest influences not in general but for this album. Just look At the start of the music video where oli falls through the bed. Chester does the same thing in somewhere I belong. Then LP in hybrid theory had “cure for the itch” and BMTH have a song called “itch for the cure”. LP is all over this album, which makes me happy since they’re both my favorite bands.
I love that you mentioned the bit about certain bands basically having their own genre. That’s something I’ve always liked to say when describing some of my favorite artists to other people and although there are probably a handful of artists/bands that fall under that category (like how you mentioned SOYD) I think my top three bands “with their own genre” would be Bring Me the Horizon, Linkin Park, and Enter Shikari.
I feel you on Obey > Ludens > Parasite Eve. For me, Teardrops goes up there = to Ludens. This track reminds me a whole lot of Linkin Park in the best way: it felt like legends paying homage to legends, 'cuz LP were playmakers for early nu-metal.
Ya gotta check out the new architects song to be honest it’s one of my favorite releases of the whole year which is crazy cuz I’m more of a metalcore/deathcore guy
Hey guys, I'm absolutely in tune with everything you're saying about BMTH. I only started listening to them a few months ago. Not much of a fan of their earlier stuff, but over the past 6 or 7 years, they've started to create something totally unique. It's heavy, melodic, intelligent, thoughtful and, in some cases, almost orchestral. The lyrics are so well written and utterly provocative. Bring Me The Horizon are the perfect storm of Metal. I'm 54 year old english-man and have listened to Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, etc, all my life. But I've now found a new (to me), and brilliant band that's actually still producing music! 😊 Love you guys. Take care. God Bless 👍🏼
I agree that there's no other band like BMTH nowadays, but there are a ton of bands that followed in their wake after they dropped Sempiternal. That record set the standard for modern metalcore for most of the last decade. What sets this band aside is that they decide not to stick to any sound despite how successful it is and they keep experimenting and doing something new. They're constantly pushing themselves and their abilities and like Wyatt and Lindsey said, they're setting the stage for a new wave of bands (again).
This song perfectly encapsulates what it feels like to hit rock bottom and dig your way out. The end when he still has his band waiting on him to pick himself back up was amazing. I cried because ive been down the road of addiction and have hit rock bottom. I have a lot of respect for ollie and the band. I cant wait for covid to be over to see them play these songs
I believe that witch in the video is to symbolize his sleep paralysis, which he struggles with and the is one of my top favorites because i experience sleep paralysis myself regularly and its a tiring and scary thing but its helps to know that someone else also experience it and makes me feel less crazy
So.. I can understand the statement of "pulling a BMTH" being a bullshit line. Could you say BMTH is pulling a Ronnie Radke based on your comment of creating their own space and bringing in so many different realms of fans. Thats a quality Ronnie has had for years and BMTH has really been doing that too. So many reasons why FiR and BMTH are so amazing at what they do.

I love the elephant synth in the intro and the outro and the underwater gurgle he puts on his voice during the “away from me” line in the chorus. Great texturing. This song Definitely reminds me a lot of that Linkin Park sound. System of a Down followed in Faith No More’s footsteps in regards to that originality and making every song new. I’m glad to see that influence continuing into today’s music. I’m really liking this BMTH sound a lot
its the song of beartooth but also byob verse "Everybody's going to the party, have a real good time Dancing in the desert, blowing up the sunshine" kinda vibe (just the start, not the blowing up the sunshine)

THAT IS SO TRUE bmth like soad just has there own genre of a sort they do their own thing and the thing is they were always a couple steps ahead of what was going on in music. i love them so much and if anyone else tried to attempt to do the same they would fall so short.
6:01 The beartooth song you’re thinking of is Sick of Me from their album Aggressive🤘 That section also reminded me of BYOB by System of a Down where he sings “everybody’s going to the party have a real good time”
I know others have commented on it, but I literally cannot unhear Meteroa. I know Oli says Linkin Park was a huge influence for them over the years. Even though this is new for them, it's still familiar. Meteroa, hands down one of the best albums from the 2000's.
I think BMTH as of right now like many bands are atm, are using influences from Nu Metal. The difference is BMTH has perfected this sound as they have had a huge amount of experience experimenting with Metal/Pop/ and Rock music. The intro instrumental to this song sounds like it could be from an early Linkin Park Album.
Very Linkin Park like. The opening chord progressions remind me of early era LP. Been listening to BMTH since That’s The Spirit came out that’s still their best work but this song is still pretty banging

@@amsyarhariz1603 okay? What was your point with this comment? Did I mention anything about their old music? Talking to me as if I don’t know there music. Fuck outta here.
The breakdown and post-breakdown progression feels very similar to Parasite Eve and I really like how it sounds, I just wish the breakdown was a *little* longer
i absolutely love, and agree with what you said about the "pulling a bring me the horizon" phrase. bmth has changed so much, but in their OWN way. in a way that i have genuinely never heard before, but i dig it so fucking hard. they didn't just change their sound; they evolved it, and i think that's amazing.
Bringing back Hybrid Theory/Meteora vibes and im crying tears of joy. Thanks you BMTH and LP.
5:41 lindsay started singing masochist by polaris 😂
Bring me the horizon is the future of music. They've always been ahead of the curve
React to Creatures X: To The Grave by Motionless In White please :(

MIW sucked on their first album though. Infamous is where the upped their game.
@deepthroat Motionless In White release a song yesterday called To The Grave, I just said they would react to it.
The umbrella for "Thats the Spirit" album cover is the umbrella you talked about in this video. The start of that record and everything released after is different everytime. They were letting us know about the change before we knew it
Song called Masochist,
"Am I addicted to the misery?
Is this how I'll always be?" - Polaris
And that's interesting that you thought about Beartooth. Because Polaris has a little same sound with them
Love your videos
Peace \m/
That’s probably what it is, i had the same reaction to that section of the song, i love it but it feels so familiar. And i’ve never heard that bear tooth song, but i love polaris.
@@UmamiDeBoi yeah me too
Your analogy part after ‘pulling a bring me’ was absolutely spot on mate.
An interesting version of “pulling a BMTH” is Emarosa. They completely switched up their sound for their latest record but they still killed it
Not really, Bring Me had a few really heavy releases before slowly mellowing but still the occasional heavy bit.
Emarosa had one heavy EP and immediately started mellowing.
They haven't done anything close to heavy since.
Versus Bring Me has still had a few moments where they've gone really hard.
BMTH has more pulled an AFI than anything.
Such a huge early 2000s sound. I'm in love with this song.
waiting for Kingslayer. so dope!
Have you heard Dear Diary?
How do they sound?
@@omegazx7236 heavy stuff
@@omegazx7236 very heavy lol
@@DaFootyChannel honestly I Prefer Kingslayer, but dear diary is **** good
BMTH from there first record all the way to their new stuff is fire.
The song by beartooth you were thinking about is sick of me
I dont see anybody already mentioned it: that familiar song by Beartooth is "Sick of me" from the album named "Agressive"
I immediately heard the same Beartooth song the first time I heard this song too lol.
I believe he said "Never heard before, from Oli"
I think he meant never heard from BMTH
If they did then my apologies, not going to watch the video again to find out right now to find out
The chord progression in this song is the same in “Somewhere I Belong” by Linkin Park.
Did you react to God Save Me, But Don't Drown Me Out from YUNGBLUD?
They said they were going to upload it soon (on Candy Cotton reaction i think)
I love that you mentioned the bit about certain bands basically having their own genre. That’s something I’ve always liked to say when describing some of my favorite artists to other people and although there are probably a handful of artists/bands that fall under that category (like how you mentioned SOYD) I think my top three bands “with their own genre” would be Bring Me the Horizon, Linkin Park, and Enter Shikari.
+ Babymetal. Literally invented their own genre

I feel you on Obey > Ludens > Parasite Eve. For me, Teardrops goes up there = to Ludens. This track reminds me a whole lot of Linkin Park in the best way: it felt like legends paying homage to legends, 'cuz LP were playmakers for early nu-metal.
Such a great song from Bmth. They have a really cool mix now. Please also check out Oblivion Revenge by Square Punch
I checked out Oblivion Revenge by Square Punch and that song is pretty terrible.
They dropped new songs yesterday. Kings layer, dear dairy and 1x1. The 2 others are drum and bass and a normal song only singing.
Ya gotta check out the new architects song to be honest it’s one of my favorite releases of the whole year which is crazy cuz I’m more of a metalcore/deathcore guy
My personal ranking of their recent stuff rn, haven't had this song settle in yet.
1. Ludens
2. Parasite Eve
3. Teardrops
4. Obey
Include kingslayer in this one.

REACT TO ARCHITECTS!🔥
Love you guys.
Take care.
God Bless 👍🏼
Tallah - Overconfidence
I know you told me its coming, but I'll leave this here anyways hah.
Are the scythe masks already sold out or just not on the website? or am i just dumb??? the link and the website both only show the W design
Just wait till you hear king slayer oh my lord lmao
I believe that witch in the video is to symbolize his sleep paralysis, which he struggles with and the is one of my top favorites because i experience sleep paralysis myself regularly and its a tiring and scary thing but its helps to know that someone else also experience it and makes me feel less crazy
Just wait for kingslayer to drop mate oli goes hard in that
Kingslayer and Dear Dairy.

The chorus has almost the same sound as “Just Give Me a Reason” by P¡nk. it reminds me of that songs everytime
Would you believe me if i told you the sound you thought was a “witch” in the beginning was actually an elephant?
Greetings from Discord-Ethan 😁

Song is Sick Of Me by Beartooth, "streesed out, burnt out, living in my agony"
Linkin Park anyone?
I love the elephant synth in the intro and the outro and the underwater gurgle he puts on his voice during the “away from me” line in the chorus. Great texturing. This song Definitely reminds me a lot of that Linkin Park sound. System of a Down followed in Faith No More’s footsteps in regards to that originality and making every song new. I’m glad to see that influence continuing into today’s music. I’m really liking this BMTH sound a lot
Please react to architects “animals”🔥🔥🔥🔥
its the song of beartooth but also byob verse
"Everybody's going to the party, have a real good time
Dancing in the desert, blowing up the sunshine" kinda vibe

LP vibes! Loving it. Chester would be proud of BMTH's direction! So so good

I love you guys, you seem to be the only ones who, like me, actually understand and can appreciate BMTH and how influential and insanely unique they are. thank you 🙏🏼
react to ARCHITECTS - "Animals" !!!
Speaking of their own genre nothing but thieves are the own thing and it's sad that they don't get the recognition. Cause he is so talented
you're seriously not gonna react to WSS or architects new releases? you've changed man haha
THAT IS SO TRUE bmth like soad just has there own genre of a sort they do their own thing and the thing is they were always a couple steps ahead of what was going on in music. i love them so much and if anyone else tried to attempt to do the same they would fall so short.
The same why yall are describing SOAD and BMTH is the same way I feel about Falling in reverse. Extremely unique. Have created their own sound
6:01 The beartooth song you’re thinking of is Sick of Me from their album Aggressive🤘
That section also reminded me of BYOB by System of a Down where he sings “everybody’s going to the party have a real good time”
The song is Masochist by Polaris. I think the Bearthooth song yall are thinking of Enemy or Fire off of Disease.
I know others have commented on it, but I literally cannot unhear Meteroa. I know Oli says Linkin Park was a huge influence for them over the years. Even though this is new for them, it's still familiar. Meteroa, hands down one of the best albums from the 2000's.
6:06, the song is Sick of Me - Beartooth :D
I think BMTH as of right now like many bands are atm, are using influences from Nu Metal. The difference is BMTH has perfected this sound as they have had a huge amount of experience experimenting with Metal/Pop/ and Rock music. The intro instrumental to this song sounds like it could be from an early Linkin Park Album.
Very Linkin Park like. The opening chord progressions remind me of early era LP. Been listening to BMTH since That’s The Spirit came out that’s still their best work but this song is still pretty banging
It had the instrumental vibes of LP and the singing in the song reminded me of medicine if I'm being honest
