    Its impressive that they literally sent every authority force with responding units to the scene, from NYPD and FDNY to private hospital ambulances, fire engine and police forces from out of town, to undercover units...

      "They called everyone and needed everything." - My mother.
      She was speechless as she saw on live TV the 2nd plane hitting the tower. As I was born in 2003, I was watching a documentary on 9/11 on History channel back in 2014, I think is called 102 Minutes That Changed America, as I was watching, I looked over and my mother stood frozen, and her face turned pale. Then she sat down with me and started to share when she saw all unfold in the news.
      It scared her for life...

    • @goncasworld
      @goncasworld Месяц назад

      @@PriestlyTax1600thanks for sharing her testimony. I can imagine they did because they had multiple and huge emergencies to respond to. First they sent everyone to try and save as many people as possible from the burning towers, then when the south tower collapsed they had to evacuate and organize centers to account to missing people and treat the wounded scattered throughout lower manhattan. Then they had to evacuate everyone again when the north tower collapsed and permanently close all of the lower manhattan area since there were still burning and damaged buildings. While all of this was going on they had to evacuate people in the right directions upwards into north manhattan and brooklyn. Thousands of wounded and covered in toxic dust, thousands of missing people and hundreds of thousands trying to flee the area. It must have taken a herculean effort from the emergency response services to both take care of the civilians and the emergency personell killed, injured or trapped in the ruble. Just an apocalyptic scene of huge proportions... unimaginable

      @@kimmeex I've never heard of large lootings because of an absence of authority that day. Most Manhattan was totally in shock. People were in the streets or glued to the television petrified for what was happening. And that happened with people from all backgrounds. In the days after and in the very day an union was seen on the streets unparalleled in times before and after the attacks.

      I was thinking the other night how everyone is like the building was designed to have an airliner fly into it.
      And there was steal here iron there. Welds and rebar everywhere.
      I’m no engineer but it doesn’t matter how much of that crap was in the towers construction.
      No one designs a tower to withstand a 767 plowing into it. Dead center at high speeds. I don’t care how well built it was you can’t expect any building to take such damage and keep standing.
      In my own uneducated opinion. Tower 2 collapsed because of the plane impact
      Tower 1 was crippled by flight 11 but when tower 2 collapsed right beside it and the damage from that made tower 1 a goner.

You will always find people who are helping.” To this day, especially in times of “disaster,” I remember my mother’s words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers - so many caring people in this world."

One of my friends from school said we should just forget 9/11 and put it in the past, but that day of all days was on of the worst days ever in American history and it shall stay bright in the minds of all US citizens. May all rest in peace who died that day… Amen and God Bless America! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

    Seeing my dad’s ladder truck on here is amazing and makes me sad. I’m sure he was hyped to be going to “the big one”. I know he thought of me and my brothers and my mom too knowing he had a job to do, but he knew he wasn’t going to make it out. It’s sickening being in 2024 knowing that most of nyc has forgotten let alone the USA. We were so united. Now people praise terrorist groups and protest in support of them. My dad didn’t care what your beliefs were. He died saving people no matter race, politics, sexual identity, regardless of where you were from aka USA citizen. He gave his all every single day, but on 9-11 he gave his life. Seems like only the families directly impacted will never forget these days. Everyone else has. I am given comfort to know he suffered for a very short period of time. Just sucks that he did suffer. He literally suffered knowing he was being crushed. His bones. His body. They were crushed. Pains me to know that even just five seconds of that pain. He did know. It wasn’t an unsuspecting bullet death. He knew it was coming. Just a matter of time. Yet the new New Yorkers didn’t live through that pain. They think everything is so bad here in the amazing USA because democrats make it seem like we are third world. At this point I’m just venting. Just sucks. My dad was my rock. I feel like some days that New York took him away from me. Others I am so proud!

      I wonder why there aren't many of children of these fallen heroes commenting. Thank you. I remember that day I was supposed to be in school but wasn't allowed to unless I was vaccinated which I did on that day, and I remember that morning watching the news and seeing the 2nd plane hitting the second tower and I was in disbelief and then watching the towers collapse was heartbreaking. I remember going to the barbers after and they were discussing it. Truly sad day. The next day I was back in school and we had school counselors going to every class and offering counseling if any kids had lost a family member in the towers. I won't ever forget that day. I do remember everyone being united too. I felt great sadness for everyone that losttheir life and the towers that were a symbol of NYC. Seems we forget and you're right that unless they had a family member they wouldn't ever forget that or until another, God forbid, disaster happens.

    I was a kid still in school when this happened. What I remember the most was seeing a black trail of smoke going across the sky in Flatbush Brooklyn and then when I saw fire trucks with NJ license plates in NYC with lights and sirens blaring I knew something was very very wrong. I remember saying to myself "What are they doing in NYC ?" I didn't know what was really unfolding until my mom came and took me out of school and when I got home that's when I saw it all over the news. Even though I wasn't in lower Manhattan at the time I would never forget that day for the rest of my life, I lived right next to a hospital, calendiona hospital at the time and there were so many ambulances rushing in and out of the parking lot. I never seen anything like that. R.I.P to all of those who passed on that day and condolences to the families that lost loved ones too.
