Once you paired, the HomePod mini settings can access from iPhone "Home" app (built-in with iOS). 1, Open Home app on iPhone 2, The available HomeKit devices including the HomePod Mini will list on the screen. Tap and Hold HomePod Mini icon. 3, This will open the HomePod screen. 4, Scroll down and tap on the settings icon on the right-bottom corner. The use as a border router to a Thread Network not mentioned? That is why I have one. Many IOT devices have opted to go Thread vs. direct Wifi connections. You turn on the device and it finds the Thread network accessed via the mini. Then you get remote access via HomeKit. Not sure why the regular HomePod does not offer the feature. Apple TV 4K also offers it, but not being a gamer and preferring pre 1990s movies and shows, I doubt that I will go 4K as long as my existing screens still work.
I’m a long-time Apple user & can’t recall ever needing to lookup instructions for a new device - but even tho I love my HomePod minis, I get frustrated that I need to manually AirPlay them for my IPad/iPhone as they are connected to my AppleTV .. would love a video to go thru the very basic setup as my smart home stuff ( just a few lamps) are connected to Alexa & I’m kind of in smart home wilderness & need to set everything up to one location *** I blame Apple Home for this confusion - rather than suffering from the over-explaining that many/most apps have, Home is confusing and unhelpful and in no way intuitive .. so, I’m relying on people like yourself to help navigate .. I just got one as a present yesterday. As an iPhone user with Portuguese Siri language, so sad Home pod does not have Portuguese language, it sucks. All the usability I'd like to give to Home Pod such as shopping list shared with my wife I can't do it in English for my wife, only in Portuguese.
@@RahulSachdeva88 My bad, there is no way to see the iCloud account associated with it. We checked on the HomePod mini setting again. I would try a restart and power recycle with the device.
@@RahulSachdeva88 We could simulate the same issue. We disconnected the Wifi to the HomePod through our router and we got similar experience until we connect the WiFi back. Check your Home App> HomePod mini > Settings > Check Wifi settings. Also make sure to turn on Personal Requests.

Whenever your HomePod mini is updating the software while connected to a Mac, you will see the orange flashing light on the top. Also, when you plug your HomePod mini into a non-standard power adapter that isn’t rated 20W, orange light will flash. You can improve the portability idea, go into home settings, and allow all to connect to the homepod mini, it will work as AirPlay speaker without internet
Less than a minute in and you’ve already set mine off. The way most RUclipsrs are dealing with that problem is to mute themselves for either hey or Siri, or both. Then you can actually help people who have the device rather than annoy them. I’m not watching the rest of your video now because I don’t want her responding to you.
