Courtney Daniels performs arrangements I have made of some songs from the American Songbook. Songs sung by Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams. Ella Fitzgerald, Linda Ronstadt and even Michael Buble.
Also Courtney will sing some songs by my Aunt Nancy Binns Reed and myself as she did on my last concert except these songs are for strings and voice not piano and voice.My aunt Nancy wrote the Pop hit of the 50's "Oh Happy Day" which was performed extensively by Lawrence Welk and. others.
Also we will perform two instrumental groups. My arrangements of three songs be Joni Mitchell including the song "Both Sides Now" and my arrangements of three spirituals including the song "There's a man goin ‘roun takin names."

This is my second concert with Courtney Daniels Opera Singer Opera Singer extrodinaire. Courtney has just lately sung Marguerite in the Opera Faust by Guonod ,Donna Eliva in Don Giovanni by Mozart, and Rosalinde in. Die Fledermaus by Strauss.She performs with the Verismo Opera Company of. Vallejo and has also appeared with the Berlin Opera Academy.
Courtney is accompanied in some of the numbers by Narmina Sultanova a concert pianist who teaches at Consumnes River College.They are. performing today with string players
Irina Samarina, violinist, teaches at American River College Timur Bekdjanov ,violinist, just graduated from university
David. Thorp violist, plays with both the auburn and stockton symphonies.
Oksana Grinevich, cellist, plays in local Orchestras, Trache. privately
Stephen Rice, Bass, plays with In Concert Sierra orchestra, has played with Sacramento Symphony.
Kit Bailey, will play drums on some of the numbers.
Binns Melander is a well known Composer and Jazz Pianist of Northern California. He served in the Marine Band as White House pianist under presidents Lyndon Johnson and Gerald Ford. He has also played as pianist for John Handy, well known Jazz Saxophonist.
He has many concerts of fis music and arrangements on You Tube at his channel and also at In Concert Sierra and Music In The Mountains You Tube Channels.
He has had three of his Chamber Piano Concertos played by Lynn Scuhgren for Nevada County Composers Cooperative,Concerts given by Mark Vance in the last three years.
