In Bangalore each and every darshini prepares idli like this only or better than this. There is nothing special in it. He is using plastic sheets to cook idli . And cleanliness is not upto mark.

Marinate word IS wrong. When spices mind with curds ND used item to Doak in it is called marinate. Herd for idly u should use word fermentation.
