I was a kid in the system and a mother similar to Josh’s mom. I know the years of trails this poor kid has to go through. For me, I was able to reconnect with my dad and he supported me up until his death last year. He also facilitated reconnecting with my mom and after becoming a mother myself I’ve forgiven her. She’s a wonderful grandmother and a good support in my life today. I pray Josh has a similar experience ❤

Something tells me he must look like his dad and has his behavior patterns. His mother really shows not sign of really care about the young man. I agree, my goodness she is on some serious meds! I wonder if they have tried to at least cut those 2, I tried Triazadone (sp). It didn’t help me & I didn’t like the side effects & I was 56 yrs old!
Everyone is different and has different reactions to medications. Also, she was in a setting where she was monitored. In certain circumstances, the benefits of taking this combination of drugs may outweigh any risks.

I’m just starting to watch and the case of joshua sickens me because it the typical selfish single mom who alienates her child from the dad to the point that the child explodes and instead of letting dad have custody she vindictively signs the child over to the state with no regard to the child or dad. This boy should have gone with dad from day one and visited mom. Mom is not fit to parent on her own.
Exactly you would think as she put it she loves him & wants to do the best thing for him to help him yada yadda she’d send him to his dads FIRSTS before turning him over to the state….unless there’s things we don’t know about the dad like he’s not able to take him in or doesn’t want to or on drugs etc I don’t understand who would do this as the first option….also ig it’s different these days but usually they send them to juvi for a crime like this not just put him in foster care? Then he goes home after his sentence I guess he’s already finished that & they’re atp now.. then step dad says he seems “cold” well no shit in his eyes just like he said his mom doesn’t want him & she could’ve at least said that to him what she told the camera instead of just “no I don’t want him home” my bad for the long rant but I went through things as a teen & wld feel/think the same exact way

Today more kids with diabetes are now able to stay home. What u have remember is at this time there was not tools that we have today did not exist it was sad

Heart breaking , my daughter was blind with many disabilities her school wanted me to let her stay there; but I could not and it was more than hard at our house we made it she passed away 14 months ago I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN
What breaks my heart for foster kids is they don't get unconditional love. Yes steeling $ 400 from foster mum is terrible but if a kid steels from a birth parent do they normaly call 911 or do they punish from home if before that act they there behaviour was gr8.
That’s true. They never truly feel like a family or lived unconditionally. Foster parents doing what you mentioned don’t care for that child . They wouldn’t do that. My son has autism and he is bi-polar. He has been having issues . Extreme anger outta nowhere . Punched holes in walls sprayed cleaner in my face and tried to hit me with the bottle . Anyways I’m hearing call the police. Long story short I did t call the police. I didn’t want him in trouble . He is over 18 now so it be on his record . I love him and I understand he has issues and he is taking a new me trying to help just has t been long enough to see if it’s working I wouldn’t do a step child like that either or a foster child what I’m trying to say. That’s just making matters worse!

I wonder how much of the problem is inability to discipline and parent effectively. So many seem unable to introduce the word NO, or provide direction. This is a difficult time for children, truly. Not enough models of reasonable, responsible adult behavior to emulate for them.

U didn’t mention if all these facilities are free & paid by the state or subsidised? If it free some of these parents may find it easier to dump them there than go through the trouble of dealing with their difficult kids 😮
That woman refused to let her husband see her 2 year old son took him to court a judge who gave him 5 years for accusation of stalking her etc & the kid ends up bouncing from foster parents & then she finally signed him over to his parents what kind of a parent is she this just shows she did it out of spite & she should have given the boy custody to her husband in the first place the. He wouldn’t be serving a 5 year jail term & the kid wouldn’t have been messed up bouncing from one foster parent to another cos she didn’t take care of him all very sad the justice system should help & not work against the parent who doesn’t has custody & is denied visits of the child by the estranged bitter spouse the law should help let the other parent get access not prosecute them with charges true or not or exaggerated levied against the vengeful parent which ends up making the kid suffer
I think juvenile trials were better in the past than today. Physical restricitions and uniliations are more common today than yesterday. It’s something se have to discuss… There are to many consequences of that in their brains… We can’t accept that!

The young girl that was left in a home due to aberrant behavior, may have cognitive dysfunction that can only be revealed by a brain scan. And what was that young girl fed? A diet high in sugar, high-oxalate foods, processed food with chemicals, herbicides, etc. can affect mood and behavior.
I feel for these kids I believe they need one on one attention not be around other kids that have behaviour difficulties where it distracts a child and has to protect oneself There placed in a different home survival mode is on. One on one attention stability I believe will extremely help the healthy guidance of the child's and work on the root of the situation not being around distractions from the kids. They may be able to concentrate stronger . And not get get written up because someone stepped on his shoes. Where focusing on the child only and their needs.

Connie is a mess. She needs to be locked up. The first girl, i thought this was going to be a video just about her and her success story as it started out, but I was thinking she was raised without a dad so she’s going to have boy problems and sure enough after I thought that it reports that for a boy she steals from the person that truly cares for her. I’m sickened that 5 days is the maximum punishment that can be given to her as a thief. That’s just not right to the victim and society.

Can somebody tell me why children are placed in so many different foster homes? Why don’t they just stay with one family? No obviously if there’s an issue with the child or the foster parent, I understand that could not happen, but if there’s not what’s solution is moving then why move them if there’s no problem
As a person who has fostered children in the past, when a child is first removed from their home, depending on time of day, day of the week etc, sometimes the only place a caseworker is able to place them at the moment is in a temporary home. Possibly a foster home who only does respite care, which is short term placement, a week or two usually. They then begin the search to find a more suitable long-term placement for the child. They may be in a home for 6 or 8 months, the parents do the services required and get them back, only to go back to their old ways and child gets removed again. Then another home is found. Say they stay for a few months and parents tell the judge, hey my friend or family member said they will take the child to get them out of the foster home, and child moves again once that home is approved. Then say the child starts showing behavior problems, family says I cant handle this, and back to a foster home they go. Can't go back to prior home, because that family now has another child in that bed and has no room. Then after a few months in that home, something happens to say foster mom's family, ie a death in the family or having to take on an elderly parent to care for, so they can no longer foster. Child gets moved again. Then because they have been moved so much, more behavior issues. Then maybe they try a residential treatment facility to help the child with behavioral issues. Then when they get that help, they get moved to yet another foster home and so on. If parents rights get terminated, and the child is in a foster home that's not one who is a foster to adopt home, child is moved again as the states job is to find a permanent solution. If an adoptive home can't be found, they may move several more times. There are so many reasons as to why they get moved. They don't just move them around to be moving them. Its sad, because each move causes trauma to the child. The more trauma the child endures, the more likely they are to exhibit behavioral issues.
Having been through the UK system as a child. I feel for all the children. At 62 my childhood still raises its ugly head. but now I can deal with it. Luckily i have a lovely lady who knows what I went through ( well some of it } She has been and still is a Rock

Can somebody tell me why children are placed in so many different foster homes? Why don’t they just stay with one family? No obviously if there’s an issue with the child or the foster parent, I understand that could not happen, but if there’s not what’s solution is moving then why move them if there’s no problem
As a person who has fostered children in the past, when a child is first removed from their home, depending on time of day, day of the week etc, sometimes the only place a caseworker is able to place them at the moment is in a temporary home. Possibly a foster home who only does respite care, which is short term placement, a week or two usually. They then begin the search to find a more suitable long-term placement for the child. They may be in a home for 6 or 8 months, the parents do the services required and get them back, only to go back to their old ways and child gets removed again. Then another home is found. Say they stay for a few months and parents tell the judge, hey my friend or family member said they will take the child to get them out of the foster home, and child moves again once that home is approved. Then say the child starts showing behavior problems, family says I cant handle this, and back to a foster home they go. Can't go back to prior home, because that family now has another child in that bed and has no room. Then after a few months in that home, something happens to say foster mom's family, ie a death in the family or having to take on an elderly parent to care for, so they can no longer foster. Child gets moved again. Then because they have been moved so much, more behavior issues. Then maybe they try a residential treatment facility to help the child with behavioral issues. Then when they get that help, they get moved to yet another foster home and so on. If parents rights get terminated, and the child is in a foster home that's not one who is a foster to adopt home, child is moved again as the states job is to find a permanent solution. If an adoptive home can't be found, they may move several more times. There are so many reasons as to why they get moved. They don't just move them around to be moving them. Its sad, because each move causes trauma to the child. The more trauma the child endures, the more likely they are to exhibit behavioral issues.
