From a temple visit when I needed to hear this.. D&C 132 : 50 "Behold, I have seen your sacrifices, and will forgive all your sins; I have seen your sacrifices in obedience to that which I have told you. Go, therefore, and I make a way for your escape, as I accepted the offering of Abraham of his son Isaac."
When you are in a trial and you don't know what to do. Keep moving forward. Are heavenly father is waiting he knows. Get on your knees and plead before him. I have had to do this plenty of times. Having what they call chronic depression. Really does take its toll sometimes. I am so thankful for Holland. Is it easy know, but think of it this way when you get to the other side who will you be able to help.
Everyone has this question of Why Us. I know I even have the same question ❓. I end up writing a story about a family that is going through the same thing, trials. If you would like to the book is called Why Us. A family that has a question of why us, even though they are doing everything right. This book has scriptures in it and lessons. Thank you so much for talking about this. There are so many people that are going through so many hard times. We are to talk about it the hard times. We also are to be there for each other
This is a good topic. It can be hard for anyone to understand why we face the trials we do. And even believing there is a lesson to learn from them doesn’t always make it easier in the moment. Even though it’s hard to help others who are in the middle of a trial to understand this, I firmly believe that trials can help give us experience that we can use to help others during their trying times. Maybe something we learn from what we are going through is a way the Lord will work through us to help bless another one of His children in need. And in turn, it helps strengthen us for other trials in our own lives.
Please post the study video. I liked the one you did with the Elder and subscribed to his channel. I'm technically challenged and like to us paper but use the app also. It has the potential to do more than paper.
Thank you!! I will post it! 😆 I should record another one on my phone or iPad because it’s different than a desktop. But I think no matter what it would be helpful!
The only comparison that should be made from trials, is our own. We cannot compare our own trials to what the Savior went through obviously...they are unique to us, and His trials were unique to Him. Our trials also are unique to us, and are often on the very edges of what we can successfully complete, and truly do stretch us. Imagine then if our trials are meant to bring us to the very edge how those trials must of felt for Him in the moments He was suffering them...And the fact that He knew it would push Him to the very limits of what He even God could accomplish in mortality. He struggled through His trials, He got fatigued by His trials, and by focusing directly on His Father, He overcame ALL of them. There is a meme I recently saw on Facebook of Christ walking towards Peter on the water extending His hand telling Peter not to focus on the devastating sea around him, but to focus on Him. We too can find success by making our focus on the Savior instead of the huge waves crashing down around us. If we focus on the Savior, none of the storms really seem so devastating. It's all about our focal point, in Christ there is peace, hope, light, and salvation. Just focus on Him! :)
