Yeah this is relatable! (So much so that I cringed deeply at this point of the video1:10 ! Yeah, not only are you trying to program and work through bad UI, it's internal so you know the documentation is going to be the worst it can be, you also are building for cheap replacements of yourself and your peers... that ain't cool! I didn't even think about what was your quitting point in your boss shaping your career, yeah that is extremely common and sad! Made me a bit mad thinking about my past! I also imagine it must have been tough too because in Japan they really discourage job hopping, you probably had to be all in on your own venture)
Anyways, I love your videos! Very inspiring and very informative! Thanks Phil

      Appreciate your comment!
You said it all 💯 😄
For the job hopping, even in Japan, I feel like the more you do it with confidence, the less people bother you with your past experience 😆
I quit 3 times, not even once an employer has asked me Why I quit 🥸

Great video ! We, humans, are like trees : If we don't put our own stake to shape ourself, others will do it and made us the way they want. And as we're growing bigger, it's harder and harder to change our path, so better to be aware of this soon !

I think one of the crucial skills lacking from most new grads is understanding what they want out of life.
The cynic in me says that’s by design … nonetheless when you’re young there’s an assumption that your company or manager or HR or what have you are aligned with your own goals, but that’s far far from the truth. Fortunately, with the internet and videos like this, these sort of class struggle type games that we all play are at least becoming more transparent.

Knowing early on what one’s want out of their life is indeed an advantage since you can double down to head toward that goal.
Thanks for your valuable feedback, always 🙏😀
