1:26 bass solo kicks in. After back to back to back epic root-to-7 riffs, Joe launches a potent run at which point drummer Nate breaks out in a huge smile. The camera pulls back to discover Cory with a giant open-mouthed smile, and then, as the camera pulls all the way back, Mark is finally revealed to be smiling as well. It's awesome that one bass solo can bring so much joy. Music is excellent.

I've seen this RUclips video several time. I just happened to see that this extremely funky drummer, Nate Smith, is playing on the most anorectic drum set you could even think of.
No toms, no crash cymbals.

Nate and Joe are such a killer rhythm section that it' understable that they both individually and collectively get their due and a lot of comments. And Cory is fantastic and deserves his praise. But Mark L. is amazing and doesn't get enough love. He is amazing. I love this combination of musicians.

all these metal drummers with over a bjilkihboihbjllion toms, this guy only needs a hat, a tiny kick, and a snare.
I love metal, and I love funk and Vulfpeck. I can rattle off plenty of metal drummers who rock a 4 piece, and still have groove and chops. I just think it's dumb to bring in a completely different genre to prove a point.... that can be easily disproved.
I was joking, I love metal and also know plenty minimalist metal drummers, I realise comparing them is stupid, that was the joke.
