One of the worst things about David and Donna is how much he tried and tried after she made it so very crystal clear she was gonna wait. The amount of pressure on her was foul. Then he cheated. I def think he made it up to her and really is the one she was meant to be with, but they could have painted his character a bit better.

She did wait for a long time, but she didn't wait until marriage as she planned. David definitely put pressure on her, which is icky, but she did gave him hope every now and then, acting like it was gonna happen and then just changed her mind. Which is 100% her right, but I understand David's disappointment too in moments like that. I mean he should not have pressured her, but maybe he would not have, if she didn't give him hope and was 100% firm that marriage is her one and only condition. Everyone talks how Donna waited, but they forget that David waited with her for a long time. He did eventually cheat, which is disgusting, but I have always thought that he has to be given some credit too, for all those years that he loved her and was there for her, despite it not being the relationship he wanted.
