Awesome video I can see why in your past videos youre doing snap ts with a heavy "cut" Which secures your rods placement and solidifies your anchor as well as the anchor placement especially with heavy flies and sink tips
great video, I still don't like the snap T, it gives me the heeby jeebees I would rather poke, but I guess I gotta try the downstream version, its pretty cool.
I've gotten to the point where I am better with this cast than a double spey. My problem with the double spey is I'm not always quick to adjust it based off the tip and fly used and I end up blowing my anchor part where I wanted it. With the snap T I can almost always place my anchor exactly where I know it needs to be based on the current.
What a great instructional video! Really well explained, and clearly demonstrated. Thank you!
Thanks Neil, Ed's got a way about him for sure
snap c was the first spey cast i ever learned and it is by far my favorite to do
Mine too! Use it on the river every time I'm out now
Awesome video

It's super handy Tim, a good one for your toolbox for sure!

I'm curious to see the downstream snap T from another angle. I haven't been out in so long I can't visualize what that would look like for a southpaw.
Thanks for the feedback Lief, that's a great point! i'll keep an eye out for a cast like that to post in the near future:)
I like the Snap T but fish right hand bank down, this downstream version will run much easier for me. thanks
It's such a useful cast we're glad to hear it's going to help!
Definitely my most used cast 👍🏼 second nature once you do it enough
Totally........I'll not even notice doing it!
Come on OPST, deluge us with Ed's know how, it's not like your fishing...stay safe my friends x

@@OPSkagit I know. Just being a turd. Appreciate all the education! Has helped my time learning be more meaningful on the river.
