This is exactly what I needed to get a good start. I've never played a flute of any kind so I'm starting from scratch. Your lesson was very informative and easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time to make this video for those of us who are interested in learning how to play the shinobue.

Wow, this is actually interesting and educational. Thank you for those information. I truly admire you, because it is really not easy to play a Shinobue.
Thank you so much, I improved a lot better after watching your video. Especially since there aren’t many tutorials talking in the language which I understand, I almost made every possible mistake.
wow Kano, you have made tremendous effort with your close ups, the bulls eye, the slow motion recording and angled view to educate the audience, very thoughtful, thank you.Do you have a website?
thank you for the wonderful lesson. I learned a great deal. I was wondering what is the name of the song you played at the end of the lesson (21 minutes on your video)? And where and how can I get a copy of the music? Thank you, David
Excellent tutorial! I'm a Western style flute player and I bought two beginner's shinobues. I want to know how to play the song in Awa Odori festival. Do you have anything about that? Thank you!
I have 8 hon shinobue, can I still apply this knowledge? Or does it have to be a 6hon shinobue? Thank you for the excellent video. I really appreciate it.

Shinobue is like a bansuri? Or a venu flute.
hmm, I am still having difficulties playing the high notes. I am definitely doing something wrong but I can't identify what it is.
