  • In this video we head down to meet Richard at Bishop Auckland Detailing to revive the Z4 after several weeks of very harsh weather conditions. Richard has over 20 years experience detailing cars and has now decided to set up as a proper business.
The Z4 was covered in all sorts of mud, salt and general grime and so great care needs to be taken when washing a car in this scenario to preserve the paintwork underneath.
Richard runs through the steps and the various products used to achieve the end result and ensure the paintwork is kept safe throughout the washing process.

Hope you are able to drum up some business for them! Now, the Z4 is nice and clean, so leave it at home when the roads are salty and get yourself and old Subaru beater! :)

Thanks man! Richard did a great job, really pleased with the result and always awesome to be able to support local businesses.
😂 yeah I dont want to drive it now. Our roads are so salty currently that a 5 mile drive will have the thing covered. Subaru it is!?

Car looks great and done well to get done in a day. I use Surfex everywhere, from cleaning my mountain bikes, to the cooker as it is a brilliant product. Breaks done oils and grease and is bio degradable too.
I use a round wire brush attachment on a drill to get the inside of the exhausts looking brand new , so try that . Collinite is tough stuff and sets like concrete if you leave it on too long.

      Thanks Justin!
Yeah surfex seems to be a great product for decontaminating the paint. Will need to try the wire brush in the exhausts at some point to remove the carbon build up!
Yeah really interested to see how the Collinite holds up, seems great so far 👍

Sounds like good stuff... I'd like to see more bio degradable products... even petrol heads can wish to preserve a planet for future generations to enjoy!

You're very right sir, some of these chemicals are harmful for the environment, probably more than they need to be

@@FootToPedal Im a mobile detailer in the UK.
During a job I got asked about how eco friendly I was by a purple haired passerby.
I told her that by volume 99% is water. The other 1% is sudden death.
She said I should use the eco friendly stuff... I told her been there got the t-shirt... I tried it, its crap and not fit for purpose.
She huffed and buggered off chuntering.

Enjoyed the video, some positive criticism would be to keep the presenting to a minimum and show more of your work- maybe do a voiceover on the detailing clips. Nice video regardless

We'll see, definitely felt ready for a change but I love the E86 platform and would definitely consider another one in the future!
