I don't wanna dox y'all but lets just say around last month I went to what I'm assuming is your "apartment" to fix a client's PC and caught a glimpse of Jack right as the elevator doors were closing... I REALLY wanted to hit the door open button so I could jump out and say hi real quick but I didn't want to be annoying cause you probably get that a lot and I didn't want to have to go back to the concierge lady and explain why I needed her to swipe her card or enter a code or whatever to take me up the elevator again lol. I knew y'all lived in my city but I had no idea I'd ever get to see ya in person! I've been kicking myself ever since because I totally should have jumped out or at least shouted a hi or something! I hate missing once in a lifetime opportunities.

The reason you do not like people going for the bump is because it adds more variability in what the keeper will do and you cede 50% of the play to your team mate.
Good 1v1 players (or any good player, really) will either score or commit the defender enough for team mate to score for free on the follow up. The bump strat, if it's not off the back of a recovery, is interfering with the 1v1 and removing the follow-up. It's just a terrible strat and I wish people would stop going for it. Just wait 2 seconds and collect the free.

Plus when the keeper manages to dodge the bump and get a really good 50 or clear it can easily result in a counter goal.
You're basically last man on the enemy side which is always tricky.

Not sure why you can’t challenge yourself? Is it cause you and your teammates have sort of a slower and similar playstyle or any other reason?
Rapid had a much clearer and direct path to the ball, and they were about equidistant from the ball. Jack was heading back but off to the side, and would have to cut diagonally, making for a much riskier hit, especially since Rapid was likely to go for it. Rotation doesn't just mean hit and go back, it means hit the ball if you are able to interfere effectively, quickly, and safely. Jack decided not to challenge and to instead rotate back because he knew he had been beaten by the ball and opponent. Amazing how many people don't recognize this. Watch a Squishy video---all he talk about is playing with the sole objective of making your teammate's life easier. The minute you put your teammate at greater risk, you've screwed up.

what is the reason that jack can't challenge first for rapid to play defense? i understand that jack was rotating back and rapid was already in defense but surely there are times when the player rotating back is allowed to cut off for the teammate defending? would love jack's opinion on this

I mean there are times that you can cut rotation, but if someone is already back they should go first to avoid double commits.
because when your at this high of elo you need to follow strict guidelines on rotations because you will immediately be punished if you make a rotational mistake.
pros have a certain way of playing and when you stray from that things go downhill fast
It’s exactly like how jack explained he doesn’t like when his teammates go for bumps, because it makes the defenders movements much more random and harder to predict. If jack starts cutting rotations you lose the flow and prolly get scored on at this level

I see a lot of people talking ab the last second goal with Rapid. Here is why I’m siding with jack… ofc you can see rapid get his boost taken and that will make it awkward for him to press first, so he decides to get boost. I think that it would have been a very poor decision for jack to go and chal first. It might have worked and they might have won the game but I believe that you have to play by the book of rotation. If you keep doing your own thing it’s just inconsistentcy and with out comms that makes the games that much harder especially at this level. You can’t break rotation like that with out comms, and No shame on Rapid but I think he should have pressed first, full boost or not, he just needs to make first killer do anything. Can’t just let someone like that have that amount of time. And also I’m sure he realized his mistake immediately and jack props to you for being humble after the fact. We all have our days. Let me know y’all thoughts.

I think rapid was on low boost, he was not able to grab them since they spawned after he passed through them, in fact if you see after the goal both 100% boosts are there. Poor rapid xD
Obviously im no pro so i cant say, but why couldnt jack have gone on some of the things he was telling his teammates to go for? In Zineel's defense, when jack said he started playing passively, from my perspective it looked like that started as soon as he went for the boost and Jack bullied him off it, which probably threw his read of Jack's playstyle off. And then for the rapid game i feel like the things Jack was saying rapid should push probably looked the same vice versa. But again im no pro. I need a Jack breakdown for those games to explain.

Watch more Squishy videos and you will understand what it looks like to play where your only objective is to make your teammate's life easier. Jack knows this but is not vocalizing it this way.

To me, it seemed like your teammates were waiting for you to go when you expected them to go.. In the multiple times with Rapid, neither of you adjusted so both of you were camping in net every time First was coming at you.
Rapid was always the first man, the closest and most frontal to the play in those situations. He is the one who needs to go. Its purely logical.
Jack can play 20 1v1 games in a row and not tilt, then play a single 2v2 and he becomes toxic and tilts 😁 this was actually not a good vibe to watch, prolly too late at night to play

If you're one of those "I ain't readin' allat 💀" kids, then: yes, it's just you. If not:
Pretty sure it is just you and maybe another select few. I feel like Jack has been pretty much the same for so long now. Always giving props, even to the opponents, when appropriate and always calling out something was bad, whether it is his own shot, his teammate's challenge, or opponent's defence, just to name a few. And when he does call out a bad play, he usually says why it is bad and what would have been the better play, so we, his audience, can learn from his game.
I genuinely don't get, where you got the "unnecessary comments" from. Are you talking about the game with rapid? Or perhaps the last game? If it's the last game, then you should take the time (1:20am) into consideration. He's tired, everyone's tired, it's kinda just whatever, but even then I wouldn't say he made any unnecessary comments. And if you're talking about the game with rapid, then I gotta side with Jack once again, because rapid, although being a pro, played worse than zineel before overtime lmao. Though I will say, it is possible that rapid also wanted Jack to challenge, when Jack wanted rapid to challenge. You have to remember that there are no comms in solo q, so it's hard to tell anything, so you just have to assume.
Lastly, Jack is a pro and one of the best pros (game knowledge-wise), so I'm pretty sure he's more than qualified to make any comments he wants about anyone. He's much better at Rocket League than anyone he's played with or against in this video, except Firstkiller. But even then, I don't think I've ever seen Jack unironically toxic and I've seen him rarely get tilted. So, I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about lol.
