    Gibson SG is great guitar but still, nothing from Gibson standard line should NOT come with a gig bag/soft case. Standard line.....hard case. It just adds value to the core line overall.

    Classic 60s Era "Solid Guitar"
    The G-400 Deluxe PRO is inspired by the first generation of SGs made in the 1960s at the legendary Gibson and Epiphone factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan that produced the Les Paul and the Casino. The SG model was originally intended to replace the Les Paul, which temporarily went out of production from 1961-1968. The new G-400 Deluxe PRO is constructed using the same dimensions and build techniques as vintage SGs and features a AAA Flame Maple Veneer top with a Mahogany body and neck with a comfortable 1960's SlimTaper 'D' profile and a 24.75" scale length. The Pau Ferro fingerboard has single ply binding with pearloid Trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, a 12" radius, and an adjustable truss rod with a 'bell' cover.

    As far as the case goes. How cheap can gibson get. After paying $1,800 for a guitar that always came with a hard case. Now you get a crappy case with stupid shoulder straps.

      I agree with you, but it is a great high quality gig bag, for any other guitar. I just can't bring a Gibson to a gig though not in a hard case.

    • @ErraticFaith

      @@aaronperrotta7055 Most of these people aren't musicians in the sense others are. Pretty evident from the hyperbolic tone they use. I wouldn't let it bother you. The case is fine and Gibson have made such improvements in recent years. The veiled brand bashing is just pathetic at this point. If you don't like the brand - take it elsewhere.

    I have just bought an almost brand new 22 SG Standard plus a Marshall Dsl 5 cr. Retail price is 1599 Euro for the SG and 399 for the Amp. I was lucky to be the first one responding to the privat ad. I paid 1000 Euro for both😊. The guitar was barely played and the Set up was poor. String height and Intonation. The fingerboard was totally dry. There were 2 micro flaws in the lacquer from the factory. Other than that just some micro scratches. I noticed, that the horn ends of this guitar are a little bit rounded and not as sharp, as on other SGs. Just the same as on your guitar. Maybe its just on the 2022 models.
    Anyways a nice guitar for a bargain price 😊

    So i just posted the specs of my 2019 epiphone exclusive deluxe limited run Sg Pro G400. paid $650.00 for off Reverb last year and of course depends on the seller what youll actually play.. maybe less and more..now why would i spend $1,799 for that Gibson standard.. when my Epiphone was crafted the same exact way as the Kalamazoo 61 Sgs same technique. And the electronics and hardware are high end..thats a Abr Lock tone bridge..so read the specs...that GIBSON isn't superior over my epiphone the proof is right there and don't say veneer because thats a high grade veneer AAA on top of mahogany..and its the same veneer GIBSON uses..AAA AAAA

  • @LaserGuidedWhitehaus
    @LaserGuidedWhitehaus Год назад +3

    I think that 'real' guitar deserves a hard case, whether included at point of purchase or not. The soft gig-bag's alright for PERSONAL transport back and forth, i.e. no one else touches it. That being said, I wouldn't trust the back-pack (or any other) external straps for too long, as those plastics and their structural stitching will fail eventually, and that means a damaged/ruined SG. Plus, the bag is just plain ugly. I think, additionally, if I were to employ it I'd want NO LOGO on it, so that no one could see what I was carrying from a few hundred feet away. Sadly, a thing like that guitar will always be a thief magnet. Unless you think that big Gibson logo on your back looks cool, then by all means go ahead and be a walking unpaid advertisement, for Gibson and, possibly, for your vulnerability.
    Give that thing a good forever-home. Get a real case.

      Epiphone makes great guitars, but they ruin them with their poly finish. They basically make the guitar plastic. The nitro finish allows the guitar to breathe and ages better. Epiphones age like a McDonalds burger - they don’t.
