Roger this was so perfect and timely for me! I recently and quietly left our weekly Bible study because it was not feeling fulfilling. It's a very structured format with study guides that are probably well written but it's not satisfying me at a deeper level. I'm thinking it might be a good time to return and explore what you have presented. I thirst for more knowledge regarding apostolic teaching... Thank you for your wisdom and guidance ( as always❤)
WOW! My house fellowship has NEVER followed the pattern you initially described. We pray and dedicate the study to Jesus to help us understand scripture. We read the passage and answer questions on the passage by also referencing other scripture. We feed one another through scripture. Not relying on one person alone to feed us. I do not recognise your description.
