I've listened to this series probably 50 times and its been one of the most valuable and thought provoking lecture series ive come across. Hope you guys post all of them!
Just B. Cause I like Jordan too! I actually just listened to the second Sam harris and Jordan debate. I study how language effects the mind and Jordan is exceptionally good with hypnotic language patterns (using higher level abstractions to convey meaning) whether he knows it or not lol. Thats why religion and metaphor are so powerful. The language is non-descriptive enough to leave room for our minds to fill in the gaps with our own meaning; like slaying your dragon, or succumbing to chaos is open to almost endless real life examples and interpretations. It's very useful if you know what you're doing, which I think for the most part he does. I love Rand for her specificity. Not a lot of room for interpretation in her work.
Thanks a lot for streaming these lessons, im a 36 year old man living on a third world country but empowering my mind with these knowlwdge so I can live a better life quality despiste my enviroment
Am a woman listening to this for the first time but am listening using a man's mind. I hope most men can also empower their minds and lice a better life despite their environment.
Really great. It's too bad that Branden's guest lecture on the stolen concept from Barbara Branden's course can't be made available. That was really great.
I thought this is a philosophy course and surprisingly it starts with Wittgenstein's opening line "it is what it is" and I was expecting some follow up, and the arguments presented here seemed so much of word play and less of rational/logical argument, then i checked the channel and yup it is filled up with ayn rand shit, then it made sense
the notion that the universe exists independently on consciousness seems to be in contradiction with what we know of quantum mechanics: ruclips.net/video/4C5pq7W5yRM/видео.html
Does reason include changing you name from something Jewish sounding and having an affair with an older woman with her husband's permission.? Sounds reasonable to me.

Thank you. I've been waiting a few years for part 2.
Really great.
