I’ve been using SonarWorks for 2 years and I would like to share my experience:
It definitely improved the final result and made translation easier but, after 2 years and because my ears and brain are more accurate and trained , I can listen now with SonarWorks some phase artefacts-issues ,so...
What I’ve done was, just keep measuring and investing to sort out issues in my studio until I did get a really flat response and now and so on I DO NOT OPEN SONARWORKS ANYMORE. I did learn a lot from my specific room and speakers and I think this is all about.
Then so far, SonarWorks is probably the best-easy tool you can use in your speaker-room sound learning process but I do not recommend just ordering your copy do the measurements and just working full time in that profile because IT DOESN’T WORKS AS PERFECT AS YOUR BRAIN CAN DO.
You mentioned this pro engineer who didn’t wanted to make any changes in his studio because IT TOOK 30 YEARS TO HIM TO ACHIEVE this confidence on it; Obviously, I would think like him, and this is all about.
How much do you know your studio?
How much non your music do you listen?
How much information and reference are you building in your brain?
How long have you been actually working in your studio?
You guys wouldn’t believe some producers set up I’ve seen, and they are in the Top100 of Beatport, they sound great because they know exactly their environment and, one more time, this is all about I think!
    I hope it helps!
    Regards.

I can’t find a list of the 40 Grammy awardees who are endorsing Sonarworks. Any idea where I can find it?? Thank you.
