Sihle I know this guy😃, at University of Zululand when I went there to register as a 1st year student he was a Peer helper khona and he was amazing and helped me from HP Lab to LTs for housing, and then took us to our res, while doing all of this he was talking to us with words of encouragement, you could see that uyabona ukuth we are stressed out😅😅, and was trying to ease things out. I'm so glad that he followed his dream of being a Doctor because he will be a Great one🤞🤞🤞 because doctoring comes naturally to him (helping us in need) 🙌🙌🙌🙌 Well done bhut wam

I am first year B.SC nursing student in Lesotho, first year we do BSC general year, then 2nd year we start nursing basically....Doing it because I couldn't afford to go to medical school in SA honestly....this inspiring....I don't love nursing that much...at times I get discouraged.
I can't wait to finish my degree in nursing and start doing medicine honestly🙈🙈🙈
Im 26 with 2 kids but im going back to school next year. Ive applied for medical school at Wits, UFS, UP, SMU but ive also applied for pharmacy at Wits and SMU and nursing at UP, what ever happens, all i know is that I want to be a doctor eventually. Ill be a first year student at 27 and its okay. Feeling very motivated. Thank you
🦋Tjoe! I think I'm watching this video for the 10th time now😭😭 I just can't get over it honestly. Sihle thank you for doing this brah it's really motivated.
I finally got accepted toTuks medical school. My story is almost similar to future Dr Nhlakanipho's story. This video motivated me so much throughout my application process. I used to live in this channel and Seluleko's channel, following through these success stories. I relate so much to Nhlakanipho's. I can't wait to start my journey next year.

Thnx for the info. The one year is mandatory for nursing yes but you cna do your 1st year MBCHB while working your one year comserv as a nurse . Depending on How well you can balance the night shifts and academia... Most people work until 3rd to 4th year MBCHB.
Some requests their hospitals to allow them to work nights only in that year so they can attend n study, some bunk class n go work or ask someone to replace u its a mess, it's not easy but possible - n as u did u worked, completed, now u can focus on scul. Or u cna still work part time or nights - ONLY IF U CNA BALANCE OR NEED TO
I cna imagine doing the basic sciences again....
Keep it up, it's never to late to do anything...
Thank you brother what are the requirements of getting into MBChb except the matric results?
Hi, thank you for sharing your journey with us, it's really inspiring, may I ask how many more years did you study again to becoming a Doctor since you are already a nurse, and again did UP exempted you from any modules that you have already done in your nursing career?. you spoke of "physics and chemistry" I am a student nurse at UKZN and I aspire to go into medicine in the future, chemistry and physics is a tough module, I have already passed with a good grade on it, and wouldn't want to repeat it again. did you get funding to study?, sorry I have many questions, I hope you find time to answer them. thank you.
Hey Vin, thank you for your questions, I will answer all of them. You still do 6 years, I will suggest you also consider GEMP programme at Wits University since you have chemistry, physics and human anatomy, but you must finish your degree. In my first year I was only doing 3 modules while others were doing 8, so yes you do get exempted at TUKS, I am funded by ISFAP Bursary they cover everything. I hope I answered all your questions.
Here is my email Mhlonishwabuthelezi27@gmail.com for any assistance
When did you apply for a bursary?
So inspirational!🙏🏽 may I please find out, did they also consider your matric marks at UP ?
It's advisable that they meet the min requirements
Hey
Is it wise to transfer from smu to up
What are the pros and cos
How did you fund your studies? ❤️❤️
Wow😢
Hi Can you kindly advise me on what to do i did a Bsc In Biological Sciences however i couldn't get into medicine neither honours so i have applied to do PGCE and nursing for the nextyear can you advise me in which of the two can i go for and apply for medicine?
Also is it possible to apply for medicine using first year nursing results?
@Sihle medic??
Hi Sihle, Thank you so much for such Inspiring videos, I wanted to ask what does this status really mean''your application considered for selection programme''
Hi Gugu ! Thank you very much .
That status basically means your application has been received but they are still going to do Selection - where they give you your application outcome -Conditional offer ,Waitlist etc.
Best wishes with your application!
@@sihlemedic thank you so much
Sihle I wanted to ask if I'm doing BSc at Wits can I apply with my 1st year results or will they only give me conditional acceptance with those marks then want my mid year second year and final year second year for final acceptance?
Bongani khanyi .... if you apply next year and you're doing your second year , they will use your first year marks plus your semester 1 results from 2nd year to allocate a conditional offer .
Work diligently and produce those distinctions.
Best wishes!
if I don't meet one of the minimum requirements but I have good result in my degree(80+ average) will they consider my application?
What if you're studying nursing from a different institution?
So up doesn’t use matric results? Meaning even if you don’t meet the minimum requirements of mbchb, you can still get in so long as you have a degree??
Must your nursing degree have modules that are the same as medicine?
No remember even if you did education you still qualify
