  • Hey everybody welcome back to another episode of Muddy Reviews, in this video we are checking out the S&S Precision M-AX mount MX0002 (Gen 2 helmet light mount). This is one of my favorite helmet mounts that allows you to run a Surefire light on your helmet. For Airsoft this is a pricy item and there are replicas of the old gen M-AX mounts which I do have that are ok but the real deal is just so much better. But before we talk about these I need to remind you of Kinetic Impact Airsoft Corporate Wars: Blood Money II, 5$ off your ticket if you use code MUDDY at the link below:
    www.eventbrite...
This isn't my M-AX mount and came into my possession from a friend of the channel. I still want one of my own but I am waiting on a certain website to get them back in stock to get mine. The M-AX allows you to run a Scout light head and tail on it and gives you a fantastic light to give you both white and IR light capabilities from your lid.
You can grab these from numerous locations if interested such as TNVC, S&S directly, OWN THE NIGHT, HCC Tactical, OP Tactical, and Offbase Supply Co, to name a few links below in order:
    www.sandspreci...
    tnvc.com/shop/...
    ownthenight.co...
    www.hcctac.com...
    www.optactical...
    offbase.co/pro...
As I said in the review I really do like these mounts and they are pricey, especially if you don't already have a Surefire Scout light as you will need to get a light head and tail for this to be a functional item. As always folks I really hope you got something out of this review and maybe have found a cool new item for your needs. As always get out there and play some Airsoft, LARP smarter, Not harder, and above all else take care.

Just by watching this video just now, you just reminded me of that another S&S Precision mount which I saw from Legion Preparedness, specifically it’s got the same arm from your M-AX mount except it actually goes straight onto the Peltor COMTAC mounts, which is something I like. While I do like the M-AX mount, I am a little concerned about the rail space if I ever choose to mount it right in front of the Peltor mount on my right hand side (same side where you’ve mounted it). - Actually, my concern’s been answered, I’m glad you’ve shown it on the Ukrainian setup, and it does show the problem I am going to point out, which is not being able to do the umbrella lighting, thus I might go for the other S&S mount I’ve mentioned above.
But right as you swiveled that sucker down at 7:53, I geeked out a bit as you reminded me of that exact scene from Zero Dark Thirty (only those who’ve watched it will know, can’t spoil it here :P). 2nd time to see you without the glasses on too, and doing it in the bathroom (LMAO).
Glad that I got to see this mount again, and being able to remember that exact mount Legion’s rocking.

I really like the M-AX mount and honestly in my opinion I would forgo the Gentex/OPS-CORE comms adapters and go to AMP Arms. They are really comfortable and you can run the M-AZ with zero issues. I understand you can't "Crack" the AMPS like you can the Gentex/OPS-CORE but I think the comfort trade off and added real-estate on the rail is worth it IMHO. Also I didn't realize it is only maybe the second time I was without sunglasses on LOL, I hope you enjoyed the intimate space we shared looking at umbrella lighting LOL.

Really did, bro! I really love the lengths you had to go through in demonstrating products, even I would also do the same thing as well by being in the bathroom. xD

You can only get them from an authorized dealer, and I think only in the US. TNVC carried them as well as offbase supply Co in the US.
