Fly With Stella A year ago I was on a 747 and I was taking pictures out the window and one of the flight attendants told me I had to keep my phone turned off.
If ur a nervous flyer I’d not recommend the back because it’s the most bumpy ride in case of turbulence, it used to really freak me out. Over the wings or towards the front is a much better option 👍🏻
Exactly. The back is worst when it comes to turbulences. I would recommend the front and aisle. You can easily get up if you need to use the washrooms!
Swede Potato Pie I agree. I’ve been in the back once on accident, and it SOUNDED like the plane was going down (for lack of a better word, the “whistle” sound). There was a bit of weightlessness happening, also. Yikes. I have never been scared before that. Staring at the calm flight attendant was all I had.
Agreed! I’m a typical nervous flyer and the back is the worse. The back is more bumpy during turbulence so sitting in the back is a bad idea. Sit near the wings in the middle because you feel the turbulence less there
I have been flying since I was very, very young (my Dad is an aircraft maintenance engineer), and over time I have developed some very strong preferences! I like the window seat and I prefer to be forward of the wing. I HATE being over or behind the wing. You get a little more engine noise, and you can't see as much. My poor kids just know now...Mum gets the window seat and they don't even get an option! I don't adore the exit row, because you have to stow hand luggage overhead during take off and landing. But hubby is 6'3", so he needs the space!
@@paulenew8220 yeah that’s what I thought. Hasn’t mom already gotten enough of the window rather than being selfish and not letting the kid get the sit? Wow. Interesting morals for this guy
I remember flying to Hawaii from Los Angeles in December of 1990. I was flying on a L1011. The turbulence was the worse I ever experienced in all my years of flying. Passengers were throwing up, flight attendants who were not strapped in were flying up in the air hitting the ceiling. One new flight attendant went running down the Isle yelling: "I think we're going down." 😆 LOL...the passengers including me were shocked! I was told later by one of the flight attendants after we landed in Honolulu that the flight attendant who ran down the aisle was her first flight as a flight attendant. I always wondered what happened to that poor gal.
I was sitting in coach and handed a box of chocolates to the head flight attendant when I did Chicago to Beijing this past January on AA and I got an amenity kit. You guys deserve to know we appreciate everything you do up in the air.
As a frequent flyer I agree with all of these tips :) The only thing I'd add is if you are prone to getting slightly motion sick, try to sit towards the middle, closer to the wings, and definitely not in those last few rows, which always feel choppier.
On my easyJet flight a few weeks ago from London to Scotland I had a window seat and the whole row of 3 to myself, plus a beautiful sunset to watch as it was evening, perfect flight👍🏻😃
Last rows, middle does work. Ive pulled it off 4 of 5 times flying LA to Hawaii And impatient people HATE being the last off the plane. Im just happy it landed.
I disagree with the best sit for a nervous flyer. The back of the plane is bumpier during turbulence. So if turbulence bothers you, you should sit towards the front. There are flight attendants in the front too.
i def agree i am a crazy nervous flier, when i flew to LA and that plane landed i literally thought i was going to die!!! because i thought the plane was gonna rip apart lol i guess because thats where the landing gear hits first.. i like the bulk head area.
I love sitting in the back! I love it when on take off the back end hits....love it!! Also, I enjoy talking with you guys...makes my day! Take care.....
My tip is, and how I got whole rows... if the plane is not very full after taking off and there are free seats with a gap or whole row empty, ask the attendant first if possible but as soon as that seatbelt sign comes off make your dash to the row. You only have to go back to your og seat for landing. I have had a whole row once on a pretty empty flight doing this and it was a fold out bed row. So good!
First off, super cute hair!! Love it! I have to disagree with picking the middle seat of last row, because typically the last row of seats on the airplane back up into the back of a bathroom or galley and therefore have limited recline.. also the foot traffic to and from the bathroom as well as people standing in the aisle waiting for the bathroom can make it hard to sleep/relax.. for longer flights, premium economy, no baggage fee and usually includes 2 bags,, comfort class can sometimes be found on shorter flights and also no baggage fee ... giving extra leg room and wider seats
Thank you Stella! My first time flying I was in the middle seat crying my eyes out. I'm definitely not a flyer. If ever I fly again, I will look straight to the back.
All of your videos are amazing. Reading through the comments made me a little disheartened. All of your videos have been amazing and I’ve learned something from each one. Thank you for sharing your life and little tips and tricks to all of us. ❤️
Don't sit at the very back. The ride is less comfortable because the plane 'fish-tails' at the back in heavy turbulence. Also, people line up waiting to use the lavatory at the back. It's just unsavory. I recommend emergency exit. More legroom, and if the shit hits the fan, you have a better chance than most to get out of the plane first.
Hey fellow stew! I fly for another carrier and we have open seating. Your video made me laugh cuz I see these random thoughts in the faces of every single pax on every single flight! You would die😂 thanks for giving me the courage to try my hand at RUclips videos:) you are adorable
I’m always wondering if there is a place on the plane that feels like a smoother ride than other areas, as far as turbulence goes. I’ve heard the front of the aircraft feels smoother and the rear feels the roughest. Any truth to that?
@@scottbrown321 The further away you sit from the wings, the more noticeable turbulence will be. If you picture the airplane’s movements in response to turbulence as pivoting around a central spot (the center of gravity), you can imagine folks near the nose or tail will move up and down a lot more than if you’re seated near to the pivot point.
Hey Stella from Atlanta Georgia holiday inn a long haul truck driver driving 48 states. I get same questions. I mean i am a ground pilot . Stay safe stella our jobs are dangerous
Stella! Omg I absolutely love your new hair and color. It's just perfect, such a great change up for you. U make me want to cut my hair now!!! Never ever fly, but just needed to watch the video because I support all u do.
Love the video! And it was so nice meeting you at ops the other day! All my classmates (now fellow coworkers) enjoyed your tip on drinking tons of water! Hope to see you in the friendly skies! ✈️😊
If you don't want to sit next to someone else then get a back seat. The front middle seats are first to get occupied. Exit row is also a sure bet to have a buddy sitting on you because you will have people who are larger who will want the extra room.
Great tips. I always love sitting in the front. I’m not a nervous flier. But I do love boarding early and having extra room to sit. I’m the kind traveler that loves to have at least a two hour layover if I have a connecting flight. That’s the only thing I get anxious about so I try to eliminate the stressor beforehand. My brother booked my mom’s flight and she had to call me and tell me on the way home that she had missed her flight so they booked her on a later one. Her first flight was delayed and she only had a one hour layover before her second flight to begin with.
Thanks for all the great tips! I have a dog just like Franny, what tips do you have for traveling with pets? And what type of pet carrier do you use for Franny? 🐾
But I still sit by the window because I want to know when to start praying.

The back you can feel more turbulence imo
This just came up in my RUclips home page. Miss you Stella❤️
The last row in the aircraft is an awful pick. The seat doesn't recline !! Luckily our flight was only a 2 hour flight.
but u get the most service
In long distance flights they do tho.
I’m flying to Europe in less than two weeks and I am so nervous, but your tips make me feel a little better!!
Last rows, middle does work. Ive pulled it off 4 of 5 times flying LA to Hawaii And impatient people HATE being the last off the plane. Im just happy it landed.
If you see a row that is empty after the door is shut can you move to it? Will flight attendants get mad? Should we ask first?
First thought...your hair looks great! Love it!
I disagree with the best sit for a nervous flyer. The back of the plane is bumpier during turbulence. So if turbulence bothers you, you should sit towards the front. There are flight attendants in the front too.
Kate C right over the wing is ideal 👌🏼👌🏼
Agree with this! The back of the plane is where you feel the most turbulence.

The back of the plane is the worst!!! When those turbs hit it is not fun!! 😭😭 I would say over the wing is the best spot for sure!!!
Legit the worst. I think all the turbulence hits at the back. 😶😶
That’s why is always sit close to the front 😂
Over the wing is the worst! LOUD as h*!! and vibrated like crazy.
I always sit in the very back rows I love it had no issues 😊

Question: Do flight attendants get irritated if we swap seats if they are available?
I just flew from indonesia and I got a full row going and coming from by myself. Had 7 hours of sleep and it was amazing.
Where did you sit? Like what part of the plane. ?
