I am 56 years old. I have shortish to medium length hair that is thinish and zero body to it. Stick straight. Most people I know, hate the humidity and rain because their hair gets big and wavy. My problem is just the opposite. If there is even the very slightest humidity, my hair will go flat and limp in an instant. I have always hated that. I carry a comb and hairspray in my purse at all times because of that. I like and need volume. This trick of yours is genius!! I cannot tell you how life changing it has been for me! Yay! Works like a charm. I give each root section a small spritz of humidity resistant hair spray on really humid days and that helps give my hair a little more longevity. My sister recently got married outside in a pouring rain storm (under a tent) and I dared to wear my hair down in my regular style (typically I would just pin it up, so I would not have to worry about it falling flat) but this day, I truly tested this method with huge success I am thrilled to say! So THANK YOU, thank you, thank you!!

Waw!!! I tried it immediately. It works wonders. I'm a queen of teasing for volume and texture and sometimes it just doesn't stay up (high humidity level here where I live). This flat iron technique just does miracles. To mention that I have very thin hair and naughty also. Thanks so very much!!!
I did this today and WHOA NELLY/OH MY LANTA... MASSIVE VOLUME and truly stayed all day! I have fine hair, but a lot of it. It worked awesome! Super quick, too... a fantastic tip, girl!! Thanks for sharing with us 💕😊🤗
That's amazing! I resently cut my hair shorter again but into a longer shoulder length Bob. Which is is harder for me to get volume than my previous inverted Bob I had years ago. I can't wait to try this! 💜

I'm going to try Chloe's method with my curling iron as I have narrow flat irons and I'm thinking the wider width is key, but the infrared Croc may be as or more important.

I am so curling iron challenged!! Are you actually releasing some of your hair with your thumb before twisting that final curl? Also would the hybrid wand you use work for these types of curls also? Might be easier for me :)
I tried this tonight and feel like my hair is too soft, sleek, and thick (not the most terrible problem but I can never achieve texture), anyway I teased the roots like crazy on 3 day old hair and even had the heat up to 310 on my flat iron and held it abit longer knowing my hair doesn't hold texture very well, and I lost all volume in an hour :(
I'm going to try with my 1 1/4" curling iron. I have 2 narrow flat irons (my mistake) and can't justify spending money on another, even with her 30% off code.
