I just noticed a couple of weeks my yard looks like that...a big hole by my bedroom window and 2 big holes by my air conditioning unit...just Today the person who cut my yard told me what it was...she said their digging for worms and can smell the blood in the soil ..so I guess my yard has the most worms. .because they made it their home here.
Did it work because i have holes like this in my yard with small trails leading from them. I tried the smoke method already and im not sure if theyre gone. I purchased some mouse traps and spearmint gum that i can try
fill the hole with NO SECONDARY KILL posion pellets then pack them full of dirt. It's sad yeah and i do not harm animals but sometimes it's all you can do. I experienced this with rats who got in to my dirt floor crawl space under my house. I havent done it yet but i've got no other options. Snap traps killed about 7 of them but all the ones alive now are smart and stay far away. I'd rather not posion them but i have no other options can anyone weigh in? I got roof rats and honest to god have no idea how many are down there.
Why did I get the feeling that the animal was going to leap out of out one of those holes completely mutated, and attack that fellow ? Ummmmmmmm way too much Sci - Fy huh ladies & gentlemen 🤔
Bill, that looks like my yard a year or so back. Were not supposed to trap them either, but in some cases I do. Have you tried the Poison Peanuts? That or rat poison. Ive dropped that down in those holes a few times and had some luck. Exterminators also told me juicy fruit gum as it attracts them, they eat it and choke. Worth a try.
This is my first try. My previous house I never had holes like this. Just found out from a neighbor I have a groundhog. Previous owner of the house thought it was cute. Also have a skunk problem due to grubs. Hopefully I don’t turn into Bill Murray’s character from caddyshack
Does smoke scare them out if you don’t cover the hole? I plan on using a non toxic smoke bomb and covering one hole to scare some out and let the dogs take care of them. Would that work?
I realize holes are a nuisance for any property but don’t you feel bad? The chipmunks are just doing what comes natural... and existing. My stomach turned while watching this and thinking about some little chipmunk sleeping in his burrow suddenly scrambling around desperately trying to find a way to escape before suffocating or dying of poison
If you don’t think that chipmunks are creatures worthy of living... and not being killed, you can search up @pancakethechipmunk on Instagram. She’s a wild chipmunk from my yard, just like any other.
@@therockysafari4302 bro just because something is worthy of living doesn’t mean it isn’t worthy of being eaten or kicked off my property. In my culture we are always over and more important than animals and we will remove or kill an animal for food or for our own purposes
@@Nastypants Of course you can do that, but I’d hope you be able to show a little empathy to animals that are at a clear and distinct disadvantage when faced against humans.
Tunnel systems can go out to 30’ or more they all runnin out in the neighbors yard across the fence lol
I need one of these. These chipmunks have dug so many holes in my yard
I bought smoke too so the war will start will them
Stick a hose down the hole and drown them
I do not remember writing that
@@d11.66 good ideal but want that make the soil even softer so they can dig more?

I've had a rat problem for about 3 years. I kill a bunch....more move in. I use smoke, snap traps, poison. It's driving me insane..
Get 3 cats they will kill all of your mice or rats and their scent will keep them away
@@kingcrab1924 I got 1 cat with no intention of catching mice and all the sounds I heard from rats moving around went away immediately.
If you wanted you could have a real game of wack-a-mole 😁

it works for some time. You need to close up the hole though or others will move in
On another channel several people have used juicy fruit gum
@@dianelanderson5504 i ended using regular mousetraps with apple pieces as bait. Worked pretty well. I caught alot but idk if i got them all

Yes. It's illegal to catch a release a pest species.
I thought this was a free country?!
You can kill them but you can't trap them?? 🤔 Yeah that makes sense lol
Nice.

Not good to poison rodents in residential areas .. other animals, including pets, owls, etc. can eat them and be sick or die.
Has anyone tried dry ice in rat burrow holes in a yard?
What if they not home in those holes yet?
Goodbye alvin and your annoying brothers 🤣

I'm using a couple for groundhogs this weekend. Gonna close off 2 of the 4 entrances, and wait by the other 2 with a shotgun
