Chilled vibes throughout with a little switch up towards the end to see the song off nicely. This gave off nice Sunday vibes.

Greg Lake cut his vocal teeth on KIng Crimson's debut album, to which he made an outstanding contribution. The second track I Talk To The Wind creates a similar atmosphere to this one, with Ian McDonald's haunting flute accompaniment dancing around some of Robert Fripp's most exquisite guitar work.

Greg Lake ballads are the best. Greg and Justin Hayward from the Moody Blues had amazing voices in prog rock.

ELP would put a chill song on most of their classic albums. This one from the album, Trilogy, is my favorite. Actually, this is my favorite album from them. That buzzing keyboard is a moog synth, they did make a warm sound you don't hear anymore. If you're looking for another chill song by them, "Still You Turn Me On" from Brain Salad Surgery, another top album, will do the trick. But a fun instrumental number from this album is "Hoedown". You gotta hit that one! US Roadie 1 here, relaxing in New England on vacation. It's rainy today. I see you've been busy. Checking the other videos out as well...

Nice to rediscover that one I haven't heard for years or even decades. My relation with ELP is mixed I love 4 albums that I consider top class, and the others I have completely forgotten because I find them useless. The 4 I like: ELP (the first), Tarkus, Brain Salad Surgery and the triple live Welcome Back My Friends. The rest is uninteresting to me, but many other prog fans will say I'm stupid !

  • @andrelevesque2405

You barely scratched the surface of ELP with this cut. Now dive in deeper with Trilogy (Trilogy & The Endless Enigma suite), Tarkus (Tarkus!) and Brain Salad Surgery (Jerusalem, Toccata and the Karn Evil 9 suite). Strap on and bon voyage!
