I think Hermes as the symbol of knowledge here is in reference to the alchemists. Even until today there are revivalist spirituals that believe that figures like Thoth and Hermes are 1) real and 2) made important contributions to human development. In the Library part of cave of knowledge in the story chapter 5 an "Emerald Tablet" is directly mentioned. This is a direct reference to Hermes Emerald Tablets which held deep alchemist knowledge according to the myth. Even today there are many different people that believe various things to have been written and passed down on these tablets.
Not only through alchemy, but the Apeiron group's beliefs and doctrine is not just Pythagoreanism. but they also greatly mirror Hermeticism and Gnosticism, sharing the goal of allowing the soul to escape from the material realm, and emphasizing a personal knowledge of God. Both groups held that the fundamental relationship between God and man could be found through gnosis (knowledge, understanding), with the goal to "see" God, and in some instances to become one with God. And the fact that 'Gnosis' (or pretty much Microcosm-Macrocosm) is the method Arcanists uses to gain their knowledge from the 'unknown' (I assume the World-soul) as we've learned in chapter 3 with the association of Chaldean Oracles, then how much truth does the belief of 37 and 6 have regarding the material world being the imaginary, the cave where the souls are trapped? I encourage people to look more into this.

I'm pretty sure the reason why 210 calls 37 the Star of Hermes was explained directly in one of the event stories. I don't remember it clearly and it's too late to look it up now though.
Bkornblume was literally the one character that made change from JP voices to EN after I saw someone play with english voices and I'm so grateful for that because I really love the rest of the cast, specially Vertin. I'm sorry but I'm not giving her any vacations, she's almost always on my team, I love her-

I wouldn't exactly call them "the truth" but the Northern Star is a guiding star from which everyone follows if they had lost their way.
