I have just bought myself an Instant Pot but there is no information from the manufacturers regarding recipes and cook time for certain meats, one of them being gammon, you have to try and find out yourself, but luckily I came across your channel and you have answered my question so thank you. I see you only have to press pressure cook and not the meat function, I will get used to it one of these days.

Thank you for watching my video. The instant pot is an amazing piece of equipment for the kitchen. If you have the airfry one give it a go after the initial cooking to give it the full on roast finish off. Best thing I bought 👍

I wish we had gammon here in the states, that looks delicious! But yeah the instant pot is a godsend, it’s really hard to screw it up. Cheers from Phoenix Arizona

Thank you so much Dylan. Maybe some of the local butcher type stores may have gammon. I had no idea you cant get it there. Its basically a ham, uncooked 👍

you do have gammon over in the USA it just wont be called gammon as gammon comes from a french word Jambon , gammon is just the hind leg of a pig

I bought it off ebay of all places. I paid the extra to get the instant pot and the air fryer lid together. If you already have the pot then again I recommend ebay 👍

@@davecparanormal Thanks for your reply and I noticed they are on Amazon. I live in the UK like you and I wish we had an American store we could pop in and buy stuff at a reasonable price.

Yeah me too. The everglades on amazon is sold by a UK company based in Shropshire I believe, there call americandy-imports. They don't have a physical store to go shopping as i did ask them. At least they are there online as an option though. If you do order off them I will say they are very quick at deliver. Usually 2-3days 👍

My mom always cooked this. She didn’t call it Gammon though. Cooked hams weren’t common back then so she had to roast it.

It's amazing how some things through time have become either more or even less popular and how some things have changed in name. When I lived in America for a while I found everywhere that sold ham, it was called ham. Never seen anywhere where it was named gammon. Its like here, I find you have to go out of your way to find it.
