Obito got so jealous and triggered Naruto had Hinata. Something he wishes he had with Rin
I think in general? The way I see it is Óbito getting triggered that Naruto has everything he ever wanted and more which is why he so desperately tries to bring his morale down
at least try to be empathize towards him obito think tht shes the one who really care bout him and dont forget he was too an orphan meanwhile if naruto hadn't meet iruka he might have end up like him
you are actually kinda right, but because of the choice of words I can't figure if you're joking or being serious
Obito was trying to break Naruto's will by killing people he cared about, and he almost succeeded in it. Naruto was left speechless when Neji died, he was lost, unable to answer Obito, his will was cracked, you could clearly see in his desperate eyes that he was on the edge of snapping. Obito got to him, at that moment Naruto could've agreed with him. But it didn't worked out - Hinata was there to bring Naruto back to reality, to remind him what they're fighting for.
Naruto had Hinata to help him go through hell, while Obito had no one.
And when Obito saw that Naruto hasn't given up even after that, he got really angry, because it meant that Obito chose the wrong path.

Disagree. This is whats wrong with Naruto and most shonens: the excessive dialogue exposition, speecially during these awkwards moments. Like, they are in the middle of a fking battle, like the final battle. And they are talking no jutsu. God...

It's kinda ballistic. People always gave obito the simp treatment and always pardoned hinata for being an actual simp despite obito being one of the most layered and well written characters in anime. Fans love to trash sakura and to an extent they have a right to, but to say that hinata is better than sakura is total rubbish and this is coming from a guy who trashes sakuras soul - PRO MAX.
Plus she is too submissive despite training from neji and she loves to make stupid and embarrassing choices. I also despise how eggheaded naruto is to notice her, but he had a goal and it is dismissable to an extent.

Neji was the most talented Ninja in his Clan. As a Kid he was able to do Hakke Hyaku Nijūhachi Shō (8 triagrams 128 palms) which needs Jonin skill. He was the only known user to master it. This technique only gets passed down to 1 kid in the Hyuga Clan and still he died. What a tragic and sad death.
Not a joke but his death also changed the mindset that Hyugas are the mightiest clan of Konoha. I wish those oldie Hyugas would have been there . They would have trembled and killed themselves just by seeing Obito

Hiyashi realising his mistake on believing destiny decided one's future. This was the scene that changed Hiyashi for good not that beating of Neji by Naruto. Neji getting whipped by naruto only changed Neji.

I remember this episode very well When it offered at that time, when I saw Neji die I just hated anything and everything, Naruto and Hinata the entire anime literally everything, it was a night full of tears and even now when I watch her cry, only Neji doesn't deserve to die in such a stupid and simple way! He's one of the best anime characters and he's my favorite character since childhood, really unforgivable mistake .

Damn wtf I felt this so much more on this rewatch. I feel like this death was more to represent how much Neji viewed Naruto's worth to his sister. Originally I just thought it was to show that the 10 tails was dangerous and not just throw away characters would die but now I feel differently. Additionally to back up the fact that even in complete desperation, feeling a massive personal loss, Naruto didn't give up or lose himself. Compared to Obito who did.

Killing Neji was an accidental masterstroke and Obito tried to take advantage of it. Even Madara acknowledged Obito for using that situation to their advantage.
Had Hinanta not stayed strong and rile Naruto up, the whole war was doomed. JUST BECAUSE OF ONE SINGLE DEATH.
People like to shit on the manner he died. But that was the point. One single, unforseen death could've ended the war.
i think it’s pretty heavily implied that the general inability to protect his allies is what almost broke naruto, not just neji’s death alone, obito was getting genuinely frustrated at naruto’s ideology by this point which is why he goes out of his way to mock naruto about all the people he couldn’t protect, remember naruto was actively trying to protect the entire alliance at this point, he doesn’t value one death over the rest of them, even if neji was his friend
@@doodoo5594 I somewhat agree with you. It was many people's death that broke him. He was fighting the war without looking at the death toll, and Neji's death halted the momentum. Obito took advantage of that to mock him and thats when he realised the numbers of death-count. I still hold that Neji Death hit him, and what followed was Obito's speech, Naruto's realisation and that broke him.
It was Neji's death that halted the momentum. Afterall people were dying and Naruto was still fighting, It took a friend's sacrifice for him to realise that he promised hollow words that he was unable to fulfill.

Hyuga clan is divided into two parts; the main house and the branch house. As the name suggests, the main house is responsible for leading the clan and managing its affairs, while the branch house is tasked with protecting the main house.
the title of heir to the main house can only be passed down to one child, while the rest are then deemed as branch house members. This can be seen in the case of Neji's father, Hizashi Hyuga, who was made a branch house member and given the cursed seal despite being the second born of Hyuga’s main house.
On the third birthday of the main house’s next heir or heiress, members of the branch house are marked with the cursed seal on their forehead. Neji received his seal when he was four years old, on Hinata’s third birthday.
That's why during the Chunin exams against Naruto, Neji believed his destiny had been determined since he was born, to die protecting Hinata as the heir to the main clan. Even though Neji hated it.
Neji died protecting Hinata, a member of the main household, which depicts him fulfilling his destiny. However, there's even more meaning to his death.
Rather than any sort of obligation, it was out of his own FREE WILL that Neji protected Hinata and Naruto even at the cost of his life.
This act of selflessness allowed him to define his own destiny, without any interference from the clan's main house. In a way, Neji was even able to contradict the seal's main purpose.
after the Fourth Great Shinobi War, the Hyuga Clan discontinued the practice of branding branch members with the seal, partly due to Neji’s death and his sentiments towards the cruel seal.

He turned from a edgy-we are salves of destiny kind of a guy to actually sacrifice himself for his comrades . He found his freedom just like his father .... . And in his final moments he intrusted hinata's safety to naruto . The hinata he tried to kill in the chunin exams ..... . It was either him or hinata . He saved hinata accurately .... . His death was really well-done by kishimoto . Sad but well-done . Kishi has his reasons all the time in this series ..... . 👍👍💯💯
