It's pretty clear he's already far above risking his life just to end this nonsense once and for all. By the end of both Dead Space 2 and 3 he clearly had no problem staying behind and possibly dying after finishing his mission. Why bother being scared anyway? He's seen the same gory deaths and kills in the first game, at this point, seeing gore should be a day job to him.

I only recently started playing the Dead Space games and I now love them! The thing I really like is how Isaac isn't even a hardened soldier, but just some Engineer that wanted to find his girlfriend and got put in a really bad situation, but made it out like a badass!

Dead Space 2 didn't have that much horror though. It felt more action-y than usual. Dead Space 3 went back with the horror, especially with all the "The Thing" inspirations.

I replayer DS1 and 2 to verify that. Nope, it's not great. The speed of the necromorph just fucked up all the gameplay and the interesting ways of dealing with them. They go through your canon or your telekinesis shot in no time. That ruined the game for me and I finished it only because I wanted to know the end of the story.

I love the atmosphere in the DS games. The fear makes your senses stronger. I only died 2 times during dead space 2,because i was so god damn scared I checked every corner,stomped every corpse, peeked every corner,barely strayed off the path,it was bloody amazing. Dead space 1 was my first horror game, and i turned off the game 3 times before finally finishing the first level.
The game wasn't as scary because Isaac didn't act as scared in this game versus the pervious two. Isaac knows his enemy now and so did the consumers of the first two games. We became numb to the horror and gore that shocked us in the first and second game. Visceral will shock us once more when the franchise gets back on its feet.
I know this comment is 5 years old but No looks how resident evil 2 and 3 remaster even though they are remaster and we know exactly who is our enemy its still feel scary and challenging especially since the atmosphere dark and gloomy that exactly what dead space 1 feels like dead space 2 was okay too since they put their passion into it but dead space 3 feels dead and boring since EA introduce coop to the game its feels it just not for me its kind of bland and EA known for shut down any video game studios and hold the IP right so yeah dead space francise is dead. IMO the entire franchise was great, that's because horror wasn't what got me into Dead Space; it was the amazing and interesting story combined with the survival elements. I mean I love horror, don't get me wrong, but Dead Space, even the first one, was never really a purely "scary" franchise.
It was original for many reasons. The HUD blended in the RIG was a great idea for immersion. The random sounds of things falling over here an there. The possibility of having a necromorph jumping in from many places, but not always added to the ambience. The ressemblences with HL (speakless egghead guy in a suit, surviving horrors). The setting in space, an excellent way to make it suffocating, despite the size of the spaceship. And of course, the first game to divert from the rule "shoot the head". It's not obligatory "scary", but it's greatly immersive.
I agree. Aliens aren't scary. They never have and they never will be. Dead Space was shocking at times but never scary. Outer space is not really a setting for any horror story. I did like how the games evolved wit Isaac. In the first he was alone and clueless as to what was going on. In the second one he was still having trouble coping with what was going on around him. In the 3rd one both Isaac and human civilization knew how to handle necromorphs. That's why they added the weapon crafting feature to the game. Of the 3 games i think the 3rd one is the best by far.

It's gonna be just like half life or every franchise that had a bad selling sequel and never released another one after that. Companies don't care about fans, they care about money. This game was my favorite in the series, just because it's a brand new atmosphere & environment, the new RIGs, weapon crafting system, & the storyline. My only complaints would be the fact that Isaac somehow overcame his dementia & regained his sanity (however, Awakened brought Isaac's insane side back in an impressive & entertaining way) and how Isaac says Ellie's name every fucking five seconds after crashing on Tau Volantis.

You're right. The big grey walls and the wonder of where the necromorphs would come from was the best in the first one. (Spoiler, it's the vents!) The character development didn't feel as solid in 3 concerning a few of the added characters, but gameplay and environment had the best variety and was the most impressive yet. I've never understood why Dead Space 1 was so scary to people. For me, it took about 3 hours to wear off. Maybe that's because I bought the DS2 first though?
Dead Space 1 focuses too much gameplay. Dead space 3 focuses too much on story development. But Dead space 2 was absolutely perfect 👌 I could (and did) play it as many times as I wanted and never got bored of it
Completely Agree. One thing I'd have to say is that DS3 had way better controls than DS1 which in turn makes it a lot funner to play than DS1. Dead Space 1 and 3 are on the same level for me, they are both great games but DS2 had that perfect balance of story and gameplay which takes it to that next level. Hopefully they make a dead space 4 and learn from the previous games and make 1 great finale to the series.
Are you certain about DS1, you do have to deal with finding your girlfriend, surviving, dealing with unitologists and treason, the last breath of some scarce survivors. I think you must feel it lacked in the story telling because Isaac doesn't talk, but that was to appeal to fans of Half Life (and also for budget, of course).

Well this brand of the future does imply a lot of medical advancements. On the Ishimura, the medical wing had multiple vats containing organ banks, essentially tank bred infants used to make replacement organs. These organ banks along with actual babies were also necropmorphed into lurkers. Ellie most likely stopped by a hospital after the titan station disaster and had her eye replaced, which Isaac probably footed the bill for.

Dead Space 3 is great and fun, its just that they don't have the horror aspect of the previous two games.
It's because they cut the "Event Horizon" element, so no more hallucinations of dead Nicole (except coop-missions and the Awakened DLC)

i hate how you can see that the advanced suit is still in the files of dead space 3 cuz when you enter the greely and the fuse box you can see the lights from the suit which either proved that EA rushed development and they didnt have time to take it out entirely or its a little easter egg 😡

Dead sapce 3 may be not a good DS game but stand alone it's a great game. I like the new weapon craft mechanic and Coop story.
And exploring the open space! My favourite part of the game

Dead Space 3 was freaking awesome and one of the best games I have ever played. It is intense and engaging and I just loved the graphics.
This game was my favorite in the series, just because it's a brand new atmosphere & environment, the new RIGs, weapon crafting system, & the storyline. My only complaints would be the fact that Isaac somehow overcame his dementia & regained his sanity (however, Awakened brought Isaac's insane side back in an impressive & entertaining way) and how Isaac says Ellie's name every fucking five seconds after crashing on Tau Volantis.

8 years late, but on pc the advanced suit is on the game's files, you just need cheat engine to add it to your inventory

You're right. The big grey walls and the wonder of where the necromorphs would come from was the best in the first one. (Spoiler, it's the vents!) The character development didn't feel as solid in 3 concerning a few of the added characters, but gameplay and environment had the best variety and was the most impressive yet. I've never understood why Dead Space 1 was so scary to people. For me, it took about 3 hours to wear off. Maybe that's because I bought the DS2 first though?
Dead Space 1 focuses too much gameplay. Dead space 3 focuses too much on story development. But Dead space 2 was absolutely perfect 👌 I could (and did) play it as many times as I wanted and never got bored of it

Completely Agree. One thing I'd have to say is that DS3 had way better controls than DS1 which in turn makes it a lot funner to play than DS1.
Dead Space 1 and 3 are on the same level for me, they are both great games but DS2 had that perfect balance of story and gameplay which takes it to that next level.
Hopefully they make a dead space 4 and learn from the previous games and make 1 great finale to the series.
Are you certain about DS1, you do have to deal with finding your girlfriend, surviving, dealing with unitologists and treason, the last breath of some scarce survivors. I think you must feel it lacked in the story telling because Isaac doesn't talk, but that was to appeal to fans of Half Life (and also for budget, of course).

That's understandable. Dead Space 1 was a shot in the dark (literally). Dead Space 2 was Michael Bay meets George Romero for a one night stand. Dead Space 3 was that one time your dad asked you to take the wheel while driving on the freeway as he tries to pick his phone up from under his seat.

I was mainly pissed about how clichéd the fucking dialogue in this game was. The ending dialogue was shit. The ship dialogue was especially shit. "This is where the fun begins!" Well this brand of the future does imply a lot of medical advancements. On the Ishimura, the medical wing had multiple vats containing organ banks, essentially tank bred infants used to make replacement organs. These organ banks along with actual babies were also necropmorphed into lurkers. Ellie most likely stopped by a hospital after the titan station disaster and had her eye replaced, which Isaac probably footed the bill for.
