I visited Arches National Park this June for the first time in my life and it was amazing! A lot of people seeing delicate arch but it was worth it. Moab is the best place to stay at and visit this location. I would repeat it in future. Keep it up!!
I'm a 24 year old, from Wisconsin, going to arches next month. With this advice I hope not to repeat those before me. Love the channel btw, never commented before but have watched a lot of videos.
Since you guys mentioned Jeep tours, I suggest renting a Jeep instead of paying a tour guide. I've been Jeeping Moab for the last 15 years and there is WAAAAAY more to see in the park. I also HIGHLY recommend doing Elephant Hill in Canyonlands! Phenomenal!
No joke about the desert - we did Delicate Arch this month. Yes, no shade and you must take a good amount of water. We definitely got a great tan in that afternoon😅 yes we also did Canyonlands and then Arches, so we need to go back for a third time.
Another poster from Wisconsin, going to Utah's mighty 5 next month. Going solo and am a bit worried about getting lost so I don't plan on doing any major hikes. Hopefully a couple of the shorter ones, but still a bit nervous about losing the trail. Have been thinking that the parks will be so busy it may be unlikely I'd be on a trail without other people nearby. Did you find that to be the case - that when you went on trails there was other people close ahead or behind you?
RE your last recommendation, would it be a mistake to try to visit all the major arches (Park Avenue, Double Arch, Delicate, Fiery Furnace, Sand Dune Arch and Devils Garden trails) in one long day starting 6:30am till dark?

Usually, there are other people on the trails.
@@WereintheRockies thank you! I was hoping that would be the case, especially since October seems to be one of the busier months to go

It’s probably 8-10 miles of hiking. If you move fast, it might be possible to do all but fiery furnace.
Love your channel!
Off topic but do you have a Death Valley NP video? I have searched and can’t find one. TIA!
Thank you! We do not have death Valley yet.
@@WereintheRockies thank you!! I use your videos to plan all our NP trips.
When are we starting a We're in the Rockies book club?
Ohh, looks like Desert Solitaire is included in kindle unlimited...
Haha, that could be fun.
Going in February. Hopefully, there will be snow on the ground
🤞🏼
