"There's something wrong with us. We can all go to group therapy together. Wouldn't that be fun." I laughed out loud at this, Rachel. I'm invisioning just what those therapy sessions would look like. We'd all be enabling one another and it would turn into one of Gayle's retreats!!
Yes, you are spot on when it comes to finding some of the older real stuff in the US - we tend to go no further than 1900s which is still lovely, but rather limiting as well and costly to buy online to gather up enough materials to make our own projects. I also understand hoarding your own digitals because even though they are your creations and printouts, it still costs you to print them so you can't just keep printing too much - some restraint is ideal at least lol. Anyways, I love the quirky end results of your projects - I find myself more inspired by those projects than perhaps some of the others that are period specific or color themed and such. Plus the point is you are sharing YOUR style with us, not ours. ;) Happy crafting my friend.
Another lovely calming video Rachel…was gluing right along with you. I had to laugh about your veg peeler story….I had a favourite one that I lost some years back…fast forward to 2020 and finally had gotten around to emptying my composter in the garden….there glinting in the sunlight was the blade to my lost peeler….fast forward to 2022….its still going strong!!! You may find yours! Xx
The mark making hidden within the design is a great idea. I like the idea of adding a bit of unexpected color to the ephemera. I would enjoy a 100 day journal prep series.
I could tell you had a lot of fun with these tags today. The mark making adds the perfect touch! Btw, some of my favorite peelers, knives and scissors have gone missing. I’m blaming the garbage bin for eating them up!😂
For making journals, I do it both ways : I have some pages already prepared but often I use what I have on the table or if it is for someone I know I will personalized the pages. So no rules really for the pages!!!😀
Beautiful tags, I do love the mark making I'm not as brave as you with the bright bold colors I did some on book pages (from your video a few videos back) yellow and a couple different blues I even stretched to pink (so not my color LOL) The blues are my favorite I actually have to make more I've used them so much! Thank you so much for all the inspiration! I truly appreciate all the time you take to do these for us. I've learned so many new things! 💕
I’m sure glad you did this because I never really know what to do with already done tags. I do embellish them because it feels like I’m cheating with a prepared tag. Thank you!
I don't use the digital tags etc as they are always so pretty and I feel like it's cheating just using them as is, but felt changing them was sacrilege. Thank you for opening the door to personalising them, Rachel. Too easy to get in our own way. ☺
Hi Rachel, My ephemera pig arrived this morning. In love with everything in the pack. In fact, I just ordered another one. Thank you for everything you do. A 100 day journal prep series would be awesome !
These are fun! Your snippets strip has inspired me. Sometimes instead of "a little peice of paper on the reverse side, just to secure it," I use a little label I have rubber stamped, or one a little used postage stamp.
Thank you so much, such pretty work. I’ve recently recommended a friend to your channel. She is keen to start junk journalling having seen some of my journals. She’s already bought some of your digitals. ❤️❤️❤️
I Googled for Prima chalk Mark makers here in the US. There are lots of Mark makers arteza sells them. There were Prima chalk Mark makers but they were only for doing your borders so they were just a odd shaped little thing. Arteza is a good brand and maybe it would be okay if people were interested
Omg I just watched it last month. I had no cable so I bet I watched 100 DVD’s while I was in Tennessee and Steve was in Ohio. The dogs and I ate Angie’s Chick a boom popcorn and cried together when Sally Fields was crying at the Cemetery.
Always love your videos and your style of creativity. Who were you referring to when you mentioned “Leslie”? Is she also on RUclips and if so under what name? Thank you in advance…
👍👍Group Therapy for Paper Hoarders.🤣😆🤣Fabulous idea! The tags are gorgeous!🤗🥰
Thank you very much!
I shall be taking a slow walk down the children's aisle, Rachel. Thanks again, Carol xo
Only people who love paper can understand us getting excited for a great scrap!
Thank you so much 😊
I have a large plastic envelope full of pre made pages. All different. Very convenient
I LOVE the idea of a 100 day project doing journal prep. ❤️🥰❤️
Thank you very much!

Wondering if you knew that the Tim Holtz scissors are amazing because you can cut BOTH fabric and paper and it doesn't dull them.I love them so much
I haven't seen them.
