    Hi there, thanks for this idea. I'm in Australia, i decided to monitor your idea yesterday, Saturday so recorded every bet at every meeting here. Ended up with a 53 unit loss. Back into it today and after 34 bets a winner hit paying $173 so can really see the points you have made. Will put it into play from tomorrow, i'm able to bet every race to jump time as i'm a pensioner who has lived for racing since 6yo's old so outside of my family, it's the love of my life. Will keep you updated and thanks again:)

      Hi Sid - glad it started off well for you. The great thing is that there are no heavy losses ever, just big winning spikes when they happen and a relaxed way of betting. It can be frustrating but well worth it in the long run. Let us know how you get on. There will always be big winners and Betfair is the best place to clean up when they happen because of the big prices available particularly close to post time.

    • @mp999

      Another interesting point. If you do this in reverse and lay the bet you can almost guarantee that you will get a big loss from time to time after a long string of winners which will wipe out profits in a heartbeat. Believe me, that moment when your on the wrong end of a shock result is not pleasant at all. We can always dip out of my system at any time because the losses are tiny, and if you set yourself a budget of £200 and treat it as money you can afford to lose over 100 races, then you can pull out at anytime if you get close to zero; but you never know when the big price winners will strike, but they will strike even if it takes a few days.

Good luck over the next few days and remember to check out some 25/1 prices on track which could end up as 100/1 shots on betfair.

    Quite often these big priced horses get placed in fact nearly every day, would it be a good idea to also use the PLACE MARKET
    as a different strategy???

    • @mp999
      @mp999  Год назад

      The odds of course are usually much shorter than for a win but certainly the process is the same. Of course you could also try backing horses at 50/1 instead of 100/1 which would increase your chances of winning but there would be more horses to back in one race typically and you may find this hard to keep up with, and less of a profit, particularly when there is a big field of runners and many are priced high. Another tip is that Irish races tend to have typically more big price horses than in the UK for whatever reason so a good strategy would be to concentrate on Irish races for a better return.

    Hey, i have some questions:
    Are you still doing this strategy?
    If so, Whats ur current sample size?
    Is it profitable over a really large sample? (another comment here said all his profits were eventually lost).
    Has anything changed in the strategy, or is this video all thats needed?

    • @mp999
      @mp999  Год назад

      Hi - we don't do this strategy 100% of the time. We are always looking at different methods and strategies, but the times we use it in the way it should be used (with lots of patience) we are consistently successful. It is not a get-rich-quick scheme but rather a way to enjoy betting without the stress. With regards the comment about profits eventually being lost I would suspect that that person deviated away from the core values to try something else (often caused by impatience because you do have to be disciplined with this method). The video - even many months on - is still as relevant if followed properly because big price winners always happen and the higher prices on Betfair allow it to be profitable.

    Hi, I do like this approach rather than the trading. Can you tell if the number of runners in a race is an important factor and if it is only UK races only,
    Thanks Mark

    • @mp999
      @mp999  Год назад

      We find that in Ireland the odds are a lot higher for races than on courses on mainland Great Britain, so that is another tip worth noting which isn't in the original video. Also the minimum bet on Betfair has now been reduced to £1 since the video was made (even though we all know you can bet for as little as a penny if you wish - there are videos showing you how to do this elsewhere on RUclips).
      With regards your point it is down to the individual whether or not they choose to bet on ALL horses in a race that are 100/1 or higher. You may prefer to reduce your stake for races like this so that instead of putting £1 on each of (say) 10 high prices horses in a race (costing you £10) you would put 10p on each so that you cover all the horses. Your return if any of them win would be a tenth of what you would normally get in pay-outs but at least you are on all the horses.
      But you can equally decide to back some of them but not all, and you would then take the chance that the one you didn't back would come in first. But it's totally up to you what you do when there are many high price horses in one race. I hope this helps.

    Its definitely a more relaxing way to have a punt.

    • @mp999
      @mp999  Год назад +1

      I do it as a past time whenever there's some time to fill. I don't do it on a daily or weekly basis but rather as a hobby. As you say it's a relaxing way of doing it and it's certainly not for everyone who wants the thrill of getting results quickly. You need to dip in and out of it and enjoy it without the risk. Of course if you really wanted to you can do penny bets to try out the system on Betfair. That is very easy to do and there are videos online which will show you how to do this. It's a great way of trying out a system without losing much if it doesn't work. You can go for up to 200 races without a big price winner, but you can also get a good streak of wins too. The best I've had is 5 wins in 48 races, but I've also had a losing streak of 188 with nothing at all. But as I do it for fun rather than for money on that occasion I lost £1.88, then the next day two winners came in quickly at 110/1 and 80/1 so that cancelled the loss. The main thing is that you can enjoy a social bet on many races so you have an active interest in a race, or you can simply spend half an hour choosing your selections in the morning, go away for the day and check the results at night. It's more relaxing and it can be addictive but it's the most responsible way of betting that there is, and fun when you do get the winners against the odds in your favour! Glad it has started well for you. I would suggest starting with low stakes for a week or two and see if it works for you. The more confident you become the more you can stake. Set yourself realistic targets so that when you reach a profit you're targeting you can stake at a higher rate til you reach that target. Then up the stake again. This builds confidence in the system but the evidence is there ... there will always be big price winners and you will get better value when you take advantage of the crazy way some punters bet, which gives you prices way over the track odds.

    I was very sceptical being a long time punter using speed figures, the market , info, etc etc but never making any long term profits over a 59 year period. Of course I have had winners and made some good profits but like most punters to keep building profits is almost impossible.
    I haven’t started to bet with this but today 31/05/2021 100/1 so winner and 200/1 sp winner. No idea what price they were on Betfair or how many bets as there were a few meetings today being bank holiday. But even so I would guess massive profits for small stakes. I think it is interesting to say the least as this is a method whereby you are doing the opposite of what most punters do therefore by definition t has to be good.

It can be a real test of your patience, but on days like today with a 100/1 and 200/1 winner (which was matched at 440 and 960 on Betfair I've been told, there are certainly huge profits to be made. The great thing about it is that you never lose more than your stake at any time, and when the big wins DO come in your bank will shoot up dramatically. There are some huge prices available on Betfair particularly a few minutes to the start of a race. I saw one 80/1 horse on the track today being offered at 850/1 on Betfair. That is huge value if it wins, and of course mostly they don't - but when they do come first it's a great feeling. Let us know how you get on and please feel free to share the video with others. • @mp999
      @mp999  2 года назад

      We've found that there's more of an edge if you back horses in the final 10 minutes when they rise sharply as other traders play the system. Going through the cards in the morning will get you involved in most of the races but there's a big difference if you're available to back just before the races start. Also, some races (particularly in Ireland) will have sometimes nearly 15 horses at big prices in one race, so your stake in that race will be larger as you're backing them all. You can decide whether it's worth backing them all or only some. You may miss out on a big winner in that race if one of them comes good, but that's the choice you make. We've recently been trying the 50/1 system instead of 100/1 which gives more winners, but there are more horses available to back, so there's a balance there. Best to try the system with penny bets for a week or two to see the outcomes before going in at a higher level.
