    I got one today because the hair looked incredible and he looks the way I remember from the cartoon more than the "what is this abomination?" of the first figure.
    That waist peg that does nothing is absolutely unforgivable, though. I'm about to melt it off.

    The fact that they added a peg to the belt and not be able to hang the glove, is an epic fail. To call this a "deluxe" is pretty hilarious. Definitely a "basic" figure like you said.

      Hello. The figure looks excellent. What is annoying is reading in several reviews that the biceps are inverted on the figure. How did that happen? Is it in the entire Lion-o run? I understand that it can happen in some other piece, but in all of them? Or are there some that have come with biceps placed correctly? Greetings.

    • @Atrox-Veritas
      @Atrox-Veritas 3 месяца назад +1

      @@mithrandir2733 Yes, it is annoying as hell and it seems that this is happening quite often at Super7. Red Lion-O has also his shoulders on reverse, and Jackalman his shins. Also i work in a comic shop, and when The Ever-Living Mumm-Ra came out we ordered 10 pieces of him, so when they arrived the 6 of them had two left or two right snakes glued to his helmet (there are not the same), that made him look awful. I don't know why this is happening, my only theory is that in order to have a cheap labor they hiring incompetent workers.🤷

    • @mithrandir2733
      @mithrandir2733 3 месяца назад

      It is very rare that this happens with the biceps of the figures, I don't really know how the assembly will be in its production but I imagine that each piece must have the L for Left and the R for Right so even beginners should do it well, it is something too simple.

      @@Atrox-VeritasThe one that interests me is the Lion-o figure from Mattel Matty Collector, what is your opinion? Is it a good figure? What I saw and it doesn't convince me much is that he has a belly button, I imagine it's because they used the same mold as He Man and they left it there and seeing Lion-o with a belly button doesn't convince me. And also Matty Collector Panthro, there's really something about Super 7 Panthro face that doesn't convince me, I think it's the eyes.

    • @Atrox-Veritas
      @Atrox-Veritas 3 месяца назад +1

      @@mithrandir2733 I agree and i don't care also about the belly button. The first Matty Collector version of Lion-o and Panthro has significantly better face paint, the eyes are bigger, on both of them, more cartoon accurate. But in the same time they have much, much less accessories. So if you can't afford to have both of them, you need to decide what is more important to you, a better face, or a ton of accessories. In my situation i have the super7, because i like the extra heads that they have, and the sword of omens is more close to cartoon. I also have on pre-order the light up eyes Lion-O and i hope they place the biceps correctly this time.

    Calling this deluxe is very peculiar - considering every Ultimates figure is a deluxe anyway, this is very bare bones. Saying that it IS cartoon accurate! And I like that

  • @MoslyTed

    I pre ordered mine for £30 here in the UK and although I don't think it's perfect, the more I see it the more is growing on me. It is more cartoon accurate indeed which I do like. Does anyone know whether they will release the rest of the characters? I noticed Monkian in other youtube reviews has a flau with its head popping out. Maybe they will fix it with a new revision.

    Flynn is a San Francisco California boy, so gaslighting comes as natural to them as breathing; so calling a bare-boned as basic as it gets line "deluxe" is totally fitting.

    Excellent video. I want to buy a Lion-o but it's really hard to decide which one, I'm deciding between this new Super 7 Deluxe figure or the Mattel Matty Collector one, I don't know which one to decide on, what do you say? One question, are there pirated copies of the Mattel Matty Collector figure? If the answer is affirmative, how can you recognize them when they are inside their boxes? Thank you so much.

      @@mithrandir2733 Thanks for watching and asking. The Matty Collection was basically sold to Super 7 to continue the line. The Super 7 figures have a different paint job but the same Sculpt and Mold. If you're looking for a cartoon accurate Lion-O the Target Deluxe is great, but the original Super 7 / Matty Collector is more detailed and artistic. You can find it online under Version 2 which is again the same figure but it's still gonna be around $55 whereas the new Deluxe Target is $35 if price figures into your decision. I will always go with the most cartoon accurate even though the Deluxe has a few problems. Hope that helps.

      @@mithrandir2733 My understanding is that it was a manufacturing error on the entire run. After the review I took a hairdryer to my figures arms and was able to swap them pretty easily. It's very annoying and shouldn't have happened but mistakes happen, even Toy Giants like Hasbro have miss assembling issues sometimes, like with their brand new Studio Series Optimus Prime. His Heels were placed on upside down. Just things we have to live with.

    Super 7 figures are very attractive and expensive, but at the same time poor quality, their figures are always missing something to be almost perfect, in this case they say it's a "DX" figure, but it doesn't have interchangeable head or hands, and the funniest thing is that it doesn't have a stand for the feline claw! I think that S7 sometimes tries to get more money by offering a cheaper product, their figures cost more than 50 dollars, offering something that could be better, especially in the joints that at this point should have been improved. This Leon-o figure for me is one of the best ones made after Bandai's, but I still feel that S7 is not being honest with their customers.
