My ‘cheap’ screen ( £19)finished up costing £60! The headlamp fell onto the mudguard bracket ( it’s the trails version) smashing the glass, dooh! New headlamp £41!!!
Put a handle-bar fairing on my CB500F $250,comes with stays to hold it in place. Big improvement highway riding. I've also added a centrestand and Givi Topbox (56 litre) lockable for helmet and shopping.
I put a flyscreen on my 650 interceptor. I find it helpful at freeway speed. I am not sure if I would prefer a full screen. My 500 has a full windscreen and I like that a great deal, especially in winter. (Or in exceptionally buggy summers)
The classics do look good with a full screen. Mike the pikey has a cracking looking mitary green classic with a full screen and it looks awesome! The int650 little fly screen looks grest to. Im undecided on this screen but it does work suprisingly well!
Nice lil install for a big difference in wind buffering (helmet wobbles). Hardly notice it sitting there with those small brackets. Take care m8 : ) ☕ looked like a half cuppa job, nice & easy.
Lol yup half a cup!!! Thats how we will measure jobs from now on. Nah thats about a 3 cup job mate!!!!! It blends in ok doesnt it!! ??? Im not sure about it yet!
You know when Taz is doing another alteration or improvement on Dug as the by now famous green striped seat cushion is brandished for knee protection!lol! Nice on mate😊
Great job, it works well and I like the look. Well done. Just curious though as I was wondering that when something is as visual on your bike what influences you the most? The way it looks or the way it works? I know it’s a mixture of both but which one says it stays?
To be honest often its looks! I have a vision in my head of whatveach bike should look like and if it doesnt mztch that orvit annoys me it goes. Cheers mate and thanks
I love that you are the Crash Test ( not so ) Dummy for the rest of us. I’m taking a month long jaunt next August and was looking into a windscreen too. I’m six foot and sit pretty high in the saddle. Was worried that the small screen would deflect the wind into my helmet. But I don’t like the ( settle for ) looks of the big screen. Plus.... it may be okay if I get the solo seat mod which drops you down a bit. By the way, how is the new seat ? Good spring and comfort ?? Anything is better than the 2” pivot point on the stock seat eh ? Like doing a Rodeo in a gravel truck.
Lol someones got to do it mate! The solo seat is going well and is more comfy than the plank and i like the lower seating position better too. The screen wotks well and can reccomend if you are after a flyscreen. Check out Mike the Pikey on how good a classic can look with a full screen, before you right it off! Cheers mate!
I tried it, but the color has scraped off, the metal was mellow, and it was structurally so weak that broked off while mounting. I don't think it would sustain any wind pressure, so I'll not try again.
Think thats the luck of the draw with any chinese ebay product. Mine was ok yours not and it Was probably made in the same factory. Quality control and tolerances just not there at times!
Nice !!! Man, I literally just did an install video today of almost the exact (mine is smoke colored) fly screen but on a 1983 Honda CB1000 Custom! Yours mount up a little different though.
Nice job iRide, thinking of getting one for my Interceptor, "pretty easy, will only take five minutes" :) are famous lasts words, just like "how hard can it be" and "five minute job" I try to avoid those phrases now, nice job anyway, and did you just leave the Forth pub ? :)
The Interceptor screen is NOT a five minute job. It's pretty involved, removing the turn signals, finding space in the headlight bowl for everything.. kind of a hassle, but it does work. Stuart Fillingham has a video on installing it.. the problem for me is that the screw set up on my U.S. bike is different from the U.K. setup....go figure. The instructions that came with the flyscreen were written in a font suitable for ants... so unreadably tiny! It involves disconnecting the battery...(?!) I didn't do that, nothing blew up. As I said, the flyscreen does help. It would help more if I was shorter than 6 feet.
Do they make a quick release windshield for the royal enfield classic? Probably not but I've seen them on other bikes and it just seems so convenient to be able to snap i on and off with ease
Oh no Taz....first it's a fly screen, then a scooter, then gold-wing, and then a range rover...Slippery slope. Just kidding son haha, looks good. BTW, I hope you spend as much on trinkets for the better half, as you do on Dug???
Hi mate. Thanks for posting this one. I'm thinking of getting a screen. I was on a UK motorway yesterday on my Bullet 500 and the wind was pretty strong at 70mph. Do you think this screen would help at that kind of speed?
HI again mate. One more question if that's okay. At 100 - 120 kmph how much is the wind against your chest/head reduced with the screen? About 20% or 50% from riding without one?
Halfway through this video I jumped over to eBay and ordered one.
They work pretty well!

Dooooh, that sucks!
What did it look like on the trials
Looks sweet mate, I reckon a white oval with a black racing number on that would look period correct like an old isle of man TT racing bike .
Hmmm thats a great idea! Cheers and thanks

Awrsome, they are a great bike the 500f and sounds like the screen helps a lot. Awesome mate cheers
That's really nice. Reminds me of the London Ton up boys from the 60's. Thumbs up.
Thanks mate im happy with it!

Little face reveal around the 3:30 mark! :)
Lol, i dont think my face is a seret to my subcribers though
And here I thought you couldn’t find anymore stuff to add to your bike 👍😁
Lol oh no there is plenty to come!

Looks really awesome ...I install mine with a Himalayan wind shield, it does look good and do a job :-)
Works well too!
You got a bargain there mate. And it doesn't look too bad at all !!
Thanks mate, it certainly works too for very little coin!
You know when Taz is doing another alteration or improvement on Dug as the by now famous green striped seat cushion is brandished for knee protection!lol! Nice on mate😊
Lol ive put a patent on it!!!! 😜

Hi, just wondering what the fixing bracket was made of, steel or plastic, cheers.
Steel
I want one but a dark tinted one - to match my tribute black
Google it mate!, tint is availible! 👍👍
I can’t find Mike the Pikey anywhere except for the movie Snatch. Can you copy a link for me. I’m looking for a good looking full screen for my 500
ruclips.net/video/Xm-wvjdoazg/видео.html 👍👍👍👍

Cool mate, they work pretty well dont they! Particularly for the price! 👍👍👍👍
@@iRidetas I haven't taken it for a ride yet but I can see it should make a difference in the wind to the chest.

Yeah 20 minute job is a broken bolt away from a 3 day ordeal!!! The int650 screens look great!

Nooooo not a range rover 😱 lol, she rides so i just msintain and mod her bike too!! 😜
@@iRidetas Well, I guess there's only one mod left. The 612 Hitchcock Barrel and head. (if that model can take it)
Hi mate. Thanks for posting this one. I'm thinking of getting a screen. I was on a UK motorway yesterday on my Bullet 500 and the wind was pretty strong at 70mph. Do you think this screen would help at that kind of speed?
Yes absolutely, i constantly ride the bike between 110 - 120kmph and it works very well!
@@iRidetas Thanks pal.
