It works like the NPC hammerhead, if you are on the pilot seat they shoot at your target and if you leave the seat they shoot their enemies (the PDCs are just normal turrets aimed by invisible NPCs)
The working theory (if its not just bugged or desynced) is that the PDC will only react to fighters after they do enough damage to the shields to be deemed a threat. Which would make sense. You don't want the PDC to suddenly start shooting a ship in the hangar bay for no reason.
Why no one complain about Max's main elevator force us to use function wheel to exit the ship!?? We should be able to press a button what we want directly, like in regular elevators!

I love the changes, the shield HP Is on the same level as the 890J which makes sense for a combat capital ship, and the PDCs (in every sci fi universe) fire at small ships, don’t try to fight a capital ship with a medium or light fighter.
You should try it in AC. It works ok for small fighters from my limited testing. The biggest targets it killed consistently was like buccs/gladius. It has a ton of spread so the targets have to be fairly close together for them to get shot at it seems
11:40 I too saw this ramming when I was doing Save Stanton missions. The attacker's Mole (sic!) got stuck inside the Reclaimer that I was protecting. So I had to precisely shoot the protruding parts.
I think it make sense to not shoot the dumb fire missiles, because in a fleet type battle it would shoot down friendly missiles in your vicinity i.e. if it's not targeted to your ship it doesn't fire.
Have you checked out the new MFDs on the Prospector yet? They got rid of the placeholder ones and got the new misc standard in, if you got one, no one else has a video on it.

I don't think increasing the price of missiles and torpedoes when they still do not work most of the time is the right thing to do. So many times my ship will not lock the Torpedoes on to the enemy. And I also get times when it does say lock that my missiles don't track. As in they will just fly straight as if I dump fire
I will be interested in the future when there are options buy different missles and torpedoes. Like mabey cheaper ones are easier to shoot by the PDS, or lower yield. It could also be that very cheap torpedoes have a chance to fail to detonate.

PDCs make it so you need to overwhelm the defenses of large ships like the Polaris. Give it many targets and the torps get through.

Because no-one knows if this neutral ship dumbfiring missiles is a supporter or next attacker. With low desync, these PDC will create no-missile zone around capship 4km in diameter )
Still, this patch is exclusively to support IAE and New Ship Sales. There are nearly 200 ships already in Star Citizen, yet for 7 years there's been ships with NO gameplay associated. PLEASE STOP GIVING CIG MONEY!!!!!!!!! WHY would any sane developer even consider finishing a game where they can make $750 or more for ONE ship??? They could care less about fixing medical ships, and the thousands of other broken things in the game (after 10 years). We need to get them to focus on GAME LOOPS and GAME PLAY, not these goddamn ships!!! There are enough already and all this does is encourage them to make ships to REPLACE the old ones we've already bought with cash, as every new ship (that does the exact same thing that 10 or so other ships already do) is going to be slightly better.... THEN NERFED..... to make room for MORE SHIP SALES!!! STOP!!!!! But a huge shoutout to Captain Foxyloxy for being my new favorite CIG content creator!!!!

probably cheaper to trow auroras at your target. and more accurate.
If they make them more expensive the hit ratio of the torpedoes will also increase dramatically, either worse pds or tankier torps
PDCs seem to only shoot snubs and ground cars from my testing last night, awesome video.

Theres a video on youtube where someone flew around their Polaris in a fighter they boarded and got shot down by the PDC from THEIR OWN Polaris.
Yes make sense during xeno threat the retaliator size 6 tops was so ex 50k to 100k, I have to do side mining runs to top up the torp 😂😂

So strip the torps off the Polaris, store them, claim a new Polaris. Rinse and repeat. Got it.
I figured out that the best way to make the PDCs work was to just park the polaris in front of the PDCs and wait for them to ram each other 😂
