  • With no upgrade option for previous owners of Racket Fury: Table Tennis VR, is the best Ping Pong game even better AND still worth the full price for PlayStation VR2 on PlayStation 5?

In the PS5 PSVR 2 settings you can make the boundary detection “light” so that it’ll let you know when you’re getting close to your wall without having to be all the way on it. Hope that helps!

      @psvrcade  9 месяцев назад

@MissingYouser Awesome of you for sharing that info!! 😀 I am aware of the boundary system, and I gotta show ya how I discovered it lol 😂 . 2 video links below of me failing!! I most definitely have the boundary at its highest setting so this doesn’t happen again 😄 Thankfully, everything still works. In the Racket Fury video I mention (13:52) how the actual headset (back of the headband) needs to be detected on the back of the head. In that example, if my arms were far out in front of me, it still doesn’t tell me that the back of my head is against the wall…which is weird. Hopefully Sony can patch their hardware to include this soon! Thanks so much for commenting and letting people know about this boundary system cause there are others that aren’t aware of this and it definitely needs to be known ✌️😎

@loudoesreviews Right on! 😀 Thanks for letting people know about this sale in the comments, that’s awesome!! At that price, it’s more than worth it for single player for sure. That said, we definitely need more people to play online cause this game absolutely rocks!! ✌️😎

@ezekel.4656 It’s awesome and the best Ping Pong game I’ve ever played. I own it on PS VR1 and loved it, but always felt the tracking on PS VR1 was unpredictable…forcing me to stand still and face one way only. This version of the game now has perfect room-scale tracking, native 120 fps (super smooth with no reprojection), and the visuals are now 4K HDR which is awesome! No need to have effects on the ball to see the curve of the ball anymore…it looks so good. If you love the Ping Pong (which I do), this is a must-have ✌️😀

Oh, I’m thinking about buying the walk around golf game in ps store for psvr2. Base game is £8.39 or I can buy ultimate edition for £36.99 with all dlc. If I buy dlc version I’ll save about £14. Looks cool and fun but I get motion sickness and not sure if I’ll be able to handle it. Have you played this golf game ? If so, did it give you bad motion sickness? I’m tempted to wait and see if the £36.99 edition goes on a sale. I’ll be pissed if I buy ultimate edition and can’t play because possibly bad motion sickness. Wish Sony would let us have a short demo. 15 mins would even be so appreciated.

@grahamkelly8662 Walkabout Mini Golf is apparently a must-have and I will be sure to get this soon myself. Personally, I’m with you and want the full package right away. That said, I don’t get motion sickness in games and I had to look this up for ya. Please read the article links below to reference other people’s experiences with this and what to expect with this game.

I think you can teleport in the game if the motion gets ya. One of the comments in the article above mentions you can get a refund within 2 hours of trying it out if you get motion sick. Everyone’s experience with refunds is different though. The article below outlines a few unique experiences regarding refunds if you’re interested. And yes…you’re totally right that ALL VR games should have a quick demo to see it causes problems for people!! Hopefully they do this in the future if more of us keep asking for it✌️😀

It’s £25 full price and I’m tempted to buy it now but damn, wish I picked up in sale at £15. My budget is quite low right now and because of this, my brain is conflicted. 1 part says don’t buy it at full price, I can buy a nice pizza with the £10 saving and other part just says fuck it, buy it now. To be honest, if I knew I’d love it, I’d happily pay full price now. You was saying in other video, where I mentioned this game, that it was really similar to Wii ping pong with motion plus control. Is this game as easy and intuitive to play just like wii sports resort version? Or am I going to be completely missing lots of shots because it’s in vr and harder? Or maybe vr will actually make me better?
I think I will buy my few games in sale now and wait till Jan 6th to see if this game goes on sale. Currently sale ends on 5th and I’m guessing there will be part 2 of sale , going till end of January. Although, as this game recently went on sale, I doubt it.

@grahamkelly8662 Too funny and I totally relate to your thinking. 😆 Sounds like you have enough games to keep ya busy for a bit, so I would wait a little longer for Racket Fury to go on sale again. That said, it does offer ‘Arcade’ and ‘Simulation’ mode. Arcade is instantly awesome and feels super intuitive (I’m guessing most play this mode). Definitely reminds me of the Wii plus experience there of pick and play. The Sim mode…that’s where it’s at when you get good cause it incorporates realistic physics. 🤩 Soooo hard at first but sooo good when you get the hang of it. What’s amazing is that you can go online and choose what mode you want to play in instead of being stuck in one mode. That said, the online player count is lacking right now so we do need to get more people onboard and get ping ponging!! ✌️😎

@@psvrcade so, I tried pistol whip tonight for first time, seated. I couldn’t dodge all obstacles, so I tried to stand but was instantly dizzy. I don’t know if I have to change settings but sitting in pistol whip , doesn’t feel right.
With this in mind, if I buy racket fury, I’d probably also have to sit down. Have you personally tried playing sitting down? If so, how did it go? Could you play just as well sitting, as standing?
I was even set on buying the mini golf game on Psvr2 but some people say they get bad motion sickness and I don’t think it would be fun sitting down.
Even when I played psvr2 last feb to April over about 30 hours. Not only did games like resident evil village give me incredible motion sickness, mainly feeling of worst headache in eyes like they being crushed but even the second I put psvr2 on my head, the pass through screen comes on and again, I’m instantly dizzy and disoriented. Not loads but enough to feel uneasy and if I see controller and stand up to get it, motion sickness is worse.
I am so tempted to buy racket fury and mini golf and hope they are playable sitting down with minimal motion sickness. Because I really want to get some fun out of my psvr2. I just started playing pistol whip sitting down and same with that zombie headshot game and while pistol whip is awkward sitting down, they are both great. Especially that zombie headshot game. No motion sickness and shooting zombies heads off is the type of fun that I used to have as a kid in the 90’s when games was about that plain adrenaline rush of gaming. Not farming, looting grinding etc.

@@grahamkelly8662 Oh man, so sorry to hear that you’re prone to the motion sickness. 😔 I’m not the best person to ask because I actually never played seated, unless the game itself has you sitting like GT7 for racing…or Switchback VR has you in a roller coaster. I gotta say I seriously don’t think you’d be able to play Table Tennis seated (not to your full potential of course), but I’ve never tried. What’s cool is…Racket Fury is NATIVE 120 fps and is BUTTER smooth. No ghosting whatsoever (I wish all VR games were native 120). Mostly all the highest resolution games trick the game from 60 upscaling to 120 with what’s called Reprojection. Reprojection is known to induce motion sickness in many people because it can cause a ghosting effect when moving around quickly. Another super important thing to check is your lighting. If you find the screen shifts while playing VR, try pulling your visor out and look at your surroundings. If that area your in your room your facing is even slightly dark, or has a bright lightbulb…that will totally cause your game to subtly shift and immediately make you feel sick. Lighting is critical to get a super smooth experience. Sorry if I already plugged this before, but just in case…I made a video about how to get the most out of your set up.
      ruclips.net/video/SYkvIcFlEKw/видео.htmlsi=G0HxtNf8O0hYFfGm
That said, if all else fails…please check this out as it MIGHT be the answer to your motion sickness!!! I highly recommend you get some ginger tablets. Here’s just ONE article on Reddit (you can find many more) about how amazing it can help with VR motion sickness.
      www.reddit.com/r/virtualreality/comments/13kzlfz/psa_ginger_pills_for_motion_sickness/
If you do try the ginger tablets, PLEASE let me know if it did help as I can’t really test it myself as I never get motion sick anymore (only Mirage Kayak game actually).
And oh man…as a 90’s fan, I gotta recommend Crisis Brigrade 2: Reloaded as it feels like the arcade classic Lethal Enforcers in VR. Buuuuut you have to absolutely stand up and physically crouch to take cover…no moving the joysticks for movement at all. It’s pick and play instant action fun 🤩 You just stand in the same spot and use your body naturally to take cover. It’s super awesome…but I can’t say if it’ll work for ya…truly. I covered it if you wanna see what it looks like.
      ruclips.net/video/x6LQpyTNzh8/видео.htmlsi=fa0bN5VUu8nDdWAV
And of course, if you’re into arcade shooters, and want to play seated with a crouch button…Crossfire: Sierra Squad is a popular title. Even though it’s going through some changes, for the most part the game is good and I did have a lot of fun playing Realism mode a couple months ago. I did a video recently showing their latest patch, which now includes manual reloading (awesome)…but it’s currently janky. If you’re curious, I show what’s wrong in detail.
      ruclips.net/video/sKg8GRU45do/видео.htmlsi=aqetAGTwIdCgF8Gm
Thankfully the developers have had good communication with the gaming community and continues to support their title. Now I gotta try and get that Zombieland game you (and many others) were talking about ✌️😎

@@psvrcade firstly, thanks for such a thoughtful reply. Yeh, motion sickness is a bitch but I’m gonna stick at it and hope it improves. I mean I can sit for an hour and play games like thumper vr, zombie land 1 or 2 others with minimal motion sickness. So hopefully will improve with other games.
I just bought a bunch of games I’m really excited to play
      Saints & sinners 2
      Synapse
      Galaxy kart
      Walk about mini golf
And I’m going to buy that game you recommended.
In crisis brigade, do you literally crotch behind cover and just pop head out, to shoot? Basically, always shooting while crouched down? If so, this may be ok for me, motion sickness wise because I’ll always be crouching down.
I have heard others recommend ginger pills to help with motion sickness but I’m always sceptical about a pill helping with such things. But I may buy some next time I pop to pharmacy.
I absolutely recommend that zombie land headshot fever reloaded on Psvr2. It is exactly like playing time crisis, except with zombies and it’s on rails just like time crisis. You shoot zombies in current section and when they down you use eyes to look toward the blue symbol and just like in time crisis, you flow through level on rails. No walking, just shooting. It’s slightly different to time crisis, as in with time crisis , you’re against the clock and if time runs out, it’s game over. I’m zombie land headshot fever, you simply try to get the fastest time. You get graded ABC etc and when you shoot zombie in head twice, in quick succession, time slows down, allowing you to get the zombies before they get you and when doing so, at end of level when it shows your results, time gets deducted depending on how many zombies you double tapped in head. So you may finish level in 1.38 secs but because you double tapped zombie, time goes down. You unlock perks, weapons , more levels etc and for the price, I think it’s absolutely fantastic fun. I really wasn’t going to buy it because doing rounds of 1min odd seemed incredible annoying and dull but the game went on sale at £11.99 reduced from £19.99 and I gave it a go and I’m so glad I did. It’s the type of game I can sit and play for an hour or 2 and motion sickness is virtually non existent and it’s also the type of game you can pick up for 15 mins or so , if waiting for dinner, waiting for movie to start, half hour before bed etc.
Oh I may check out Crossfire but I’ll probably wait for a sale on that 1. Along with Pavlov and few other shooters. I took a chance on synapse because it was on sale and looks totally awesome. Even if I can only last 15mins at a time, it will be worth it, if it’s as fun as it looks.
Oh I’m deff going to check out racket fury, next time it’s on sale. It would be an incredible experience if I can stand and move about a bit play and not be instantly sick. I did actually manage resident evil village standing up once for about 20mins but I was standing still and just turning body. tennis will be totally different. I probably end up in emergency department trying to be world table tennis champion.
Have you ever watched vr accident videos on RUclips? I’ve watched a few and some of them are so funny. Like people running straight into the tv. I’m like, why would you do such a thing.

@@grahamkelly8662 No problem!! 😀 That lineup sounds absolutely awesome and I really hope they work out for ya!! I’m guessing you had a good time this weekend?
For Crisis Brigrade, I was definitely standing and crouching constantly to take cover. I think you could technically crouch most of the game to take over…it really depends on the scene they throw you in. But yeah, I am mainly crouched in cover for a lot of the game.
And oooohhhhh…Zombieland sounds a lot like Lethal Enforcers when you get to shoot the same target multiple times to get a better score. Very cool man! I didn’t realize how the game actually played out, but ya definitely spelled it out for me and I super appreciate it! This is now on my list of games to get 😎
If you do ever get to try the ginger, please let me know if it helped as I’m genuinely curious to know if it works as well as people have been saying.
I was able to get a review key recently for Synapse and am definitely excited and looking forward to covering that one cause I’ve only heard great things about it.
When you mentioned standing in RE8 and using your body to turn…that is awesome and I believe is the most immersive and most comfortable way to play. I don’t think a lot of people are aware that you can do this and are still using the right stick to turn. That artificial turning with the right stick just doesn’t feel natural or as smooth. Others in the community have mentioned that when they started playing all VR games using the body to turn that it really helped with motion sickness.
And too funny about VR fails…I have 2 videos where I totally thought I wrecked my PS VR2. Not nearly as bad as what you’re talking about…the extreme cases where people run and dive into the wall 😂 I can’t believe that ONE game ‘Walk the Plank’ is so simple yet so devastating. Please check out where I failed below…Pavlov is sooooo awesome✌️😆

@dimitarkonov6161 I truly understand that they need an upgrade path and spoke to it at the end of the video using Creed as my example, and how they charge half for the PS VR2 version. That said, this is truly the same game but with massive changes such as Native 120 fps that make it silky smooth with incredible room-scale tracking (PS VR1 tracking sucked), and sharper images that look far more realistic that you don’t even need any effects on to see how the ball is moving. That is awesome!!! It literally feels like you’re playing ping pong in real life now (unlike PS VR1).
Just to be clear, I’ll personally get 40 bucks worth of gameplay for sure as I’ll be playing this game for years because I’ve always wanted a real Ping Pong table. 🤩 That said, I’m still advocating for an upgrade path as I’m currently talking to the developers and will use this comment (and others) as evidence that many would get the game but are turned off paying full price when they own it already on another platform. Thanks for your feedback, I hope @pixeledgegames understands their audience wants this, just not paying full price twice ✌️😎
