Thanks for the video, RUclips has been bumping my videos down to 1080 for a while now and randomly allowing some of my videos to upload in 4K. I couldn’t figure out why. My entire workflow is 4K. I tried uploading directly from Luma fusion and viola! So far so good. Two back to back uploads in 4K! Thanks brother! All of your videos have nice informative nuggets in them!
This was exactly what I needed to know! I was exporting at Ultra (150 Mbps) and it was making my files sizes too big and upload times were soooo long. Thanks, Henny!!
Love seeing how other people do this! Fun to see the BTS. I have used LumaFusion for every RUclips video and continue to love it. I shoot 1080 and export 4k most of the time. Export quality: I stick with the recommended bit rates per RUclips’s website which are actually really low. People on Reddit have explained this is best because you do the compression in your device that way which leaves less for RUclips compress and maintains more quality. I also like it because file sizes are smaller. Can’t say I feel confident in it because my videos aren’t as nice looking as yours Henny!
Thanks man. Yeah I don’t know if there’s an exact science to compression vs bitrate, I just go off of what it looks like to me. This has been my setting for years and it’s worked out great 👍🏼

I’ve spent so many frustrating hours trying to create an export (from Luma Fusion) that FB and/or YT would accept, usually with the result that I could only be successful with the very lowest resolution export. But your tips about exporting at even higher qualities, etc., but (more importantly) opening a copy in the Photos app, and re-exporting... that seemed to make the big difference! Much appreciation :)
Lovely video - Nice tip for description - have the stuff you ALWAYS have (links, sponsors ets) as a note on the notes app and then just copy and paste it into LumaFusion at the right moment, that way you can just go into youtube studio and add the first few lines and the chapters of what the video is about and all the rest is there and all the same. Never tried from LumaFusion to RUclips. Although I have noticed the upload link. Awesome knowledge. I notice better quality from smartphones over my 9.7 and 12.9. That’s Instagram!
I hate editing but I edited my first music video in Lumafusion and let's just say I loved it, especially with the Apple Pencil felt so natural over the mouse 🙌🏾 thank you for this though! I wonder if it's possible to create templates in Lumafusion for example if I drop a landscape video into a template for vertical video for (IG stories) would that be possible to sort of just drop in and edit the framing during sequencing and editing?

I tested différent options but I didnt see a lot of différence on export settings « Quality Vidéo « Web , Extrême or others options. But I choosed to shoot my vidéos in 30 fps and export in 1080p, 30 fps cause if im not wrong , Instagram compress vidéos in 30 fps. Greetings for France !

That’s one of my biggest gripes about LF is the audio. I know updates are coming soon to do automatic syncing and better audio plugins but at the moment it’s still hit or miss with syncing 🥺

How are you getting the circle talking head in the video. I’ve done it with a green circle on the main video export and bringing it back in so I could float be under. Is the better method. Can I crop into a circle on top???

when i recorded with my oneplus 7 pro *and also with my oneplus nors) i never had any issue finishing my videos using lumafusion and then uploading them in great resolution. ever since i have a Galaxy s21 ultra though, when it's finished and uploaded the resolution is really bad... even though on youtube it says it's the same resolution so i really don't understand this. when uploading directly from the phone it's clearly better. i hope you can tell me what could cuase this
Well now I need to update my workflow...do you export a final version of the RUclips video to your photos for long term storage anywhere or just let it live on RUclips?
FYI: first LF exports first the video to the device anyways, then uploads it to RUclips and deletes the exported video from photos. So it will NOT upload anything directly!

You were my inspiration to start on the amazing LumaFusion - but I’ve recently started struggling with lags with 4K 60fps drone footages when I speed it to the max. It is sort of impossible to pinpoint the point of transition and hence audio editing / sound engineering is not possible. Any ideas for workarounds??
I know LumaTouch is suppose to be working on a better speed ramping algorithm but I haven’t heard how far they are into development. That’s one of the hardest things to get right on LF right now. Sorry I don’t have a better solution at the moment.

I’m having a BIG problem to upload from LumaFusion to RUclips - I recorded on iPhone 7 ( I have 12 pro max now ) but many many videos of traveling in Japan rec on iPhone 7 1080p 60fps - but when uploading to YTube the image quality be a bit fuzzy…tried everything from 8mbps to extreme but the result it’s not a clear as the original !! specifically the moving part of the video while driving … why ? I would appreciate you trough on this … what’s wrong ? How to upload a 1920x1080 1080p 60fps 23.4 mbps on RUclips from LumaFusion without lose quality ?
I’ve gotten so used to using my iPad Pro for everything, I truly don’t have a need to switch to a MacBook. Plus I love the ability to use touch on certain apps.

I have both and use them interchangeably, I just dislike the fact the hard drive doesn't work like it does on a computer, having to copy from the drive to the iPad and back is a bit cumbersome unless you're only using your files from the cloud? For example, LumaFusion probably runs on M1 Macs lol.
Can you turn the same horizontal video to vertical in Luma Fusion? I've been looking for this all over and can't find the answer (I still don't have the software, I'm deciding if it works for me)
You have to export the video as 16:9 then set up a new sequence and set that 9:16 then import the video. You will have to go into frame and fit and center the video to your liking. That is the only way I know how to do it.

As far as I can tell you can edit the cover for a regular post but not a shorts video. Right?

1:39 is there a difference in quality exporting from photos vs. directly from LumaFusion?
I do that and still the screen is not fully visible, there are black spaces on both sides and I would like it to be just full screen

Honestly I just let it live on RUclips and backup my LumaFusion folder monthly to an external HD

Bro if Apple would give us realtime external drive support I'd totally use LumaFusion more. Any reason you don't use a MacBook when not on the go?

I always have the hardest time uploading straight to RUclips. It rarely completely uploads for me.
