You got me at Runefactory, maybe Harvestella won’t have the same relationship system but time passing through stages feels like an improvement over real-time

@@keentwo7076 that's how it was on the demo, but the full game's fixed the issue, the short days that is.. For the dodge, you unlock it through the classes, I think the melee classes have the dodge, but the distance classes dont. It's like the first thing you unlock on each melee class.
Time related activities are similar to Persona series, where the time will move if you make a specific action/activity. This is going to be a grind-worthy game.

I'm very much looking forward to this!! I have it preordered and look forward to it on Nov. 4'th. :D I really hope it does well. I love this genre of game. I love the combination of farming sim and dungeon crawler. I was disappointed with RF5 and the way it looked - and seeing Harvestella - it got me *so* excited! I hope it does well. I'd love to see this as a series or a new niche franchise.
The combat needs work. There is no dedicated block function and the "step" isn't very reliable in combat for emergency dodges. The last boss in the demo has a move that is very difficult to avoid and does a ton of damage. The camera tracking also needs work because it does a poor job of maintaining focus on the enemy when locked on. These issues aren't hard fixes and I don't understand why they exist in a Square Enix game.
@@Connorcloud92 no that is the point of a beta. A demo is a sneak peek of a finished product. Ex: hellsingers demo was a nearly identical to the release. It possible they fix it but I wouldn’t hold my breath
Played the demo and liked it. But I was not a fan of the time management. Walking half the day on the world map to reach the dungeon was not that great. Fishing was weird, it took several ingame hours before a fish was on the rod. maybe I was unlucky but I had no ingame time to fish like that so I never did it again
The time mech was a bit too much for me. I like it in theory but it feels extremely unforgiving, even more so than Stardew which was good but I still often felt too rushed there as well. I'd like to be able to do more in a day and I think something that might fix it for me is the removal of overworld travel time progression, or at the very least reduce the severity of it. Otherwise the game was pretty fun from what I played which was the entirety of the demo.
Apparently they are talking about fixing it a little bit in the release. So I’ve heard. You can also stay up until midnight I believe, and still wake up quite early in the morning, which helps, and the teleports are massive in this game
Agree 100%. It was frustrating to nearly waste half the day to walk to a dungeon on the world map. Fishing took several ingame hours, maybe I was unlucky. but most of the time I gave up fishing because I thought I did something wrong but it just took way to much time standing there for 2 minutes (few ingame hours)
I feel like time rush a bit too fast. I always felt like I was on a marathon trying to get everything from my crops planted and watered, crafting, mining, running to town for some items then spending the rest in the dungeon. Hopefully the full game won't be too punishing when it comes to time management.

Technically yes but it is really really limited. One hairstyle, only can change color. One body type for male and female, etc
